We are so often in awe and envyous of Bball, et al, and the great pictures they post here. I thought I would show them what the perspective is like in the 'payload' section...not nearly as exciting as being in the front office, but here are some PIC-s of my latest pond hop...Learning how to do this, sorry if it messes up...1 - View from Maple Leaf Lounge while I wait for the charriot to arrive.2 - My seat is ready for me...nice to have freinds in low places at ACA.

1 - Very comfy...watching Goldmember at 8 miles up...pause the show while I choose the wine for dinner....decadence.2 - The wing view for us poor folk in the back seats.

1 - Daybreak - 0920Z, just over TADEX - right after I popped the question. Hopefully someone is still awake in the front office.2 - Breaking through the clouds for 09L EGLL Mon 23rd Dec, 2002 - the M25 below...look, it's actually moving, no traffic jams today.3 - Little Brit brother popped in behind us off 09L

1 - Taxi in - first aircrat I see at the gate...it's AAL327 loading up...just like VATSIM ;-)2 - A model of HMS Eagle circa 1951 I built and gave to my Dad...he was a Flt Engineer in the FAA...it's his fault I am like this.3 - After 10 days in London, we are outbound in B763 fin632 ACA869, Jan 02...the fat b--tard in the background is the real ACA856/7 getting ready to leave about 3 hours after us.

1 - Taxi out - GPS show - best entertainment on the plane - 2mph..take a while to get home at this rate2 - My favourite place to be at any given moment...FL350, just finished the pond hop near Goose Bay.3 - A shot of the show leaving UK...sorry about the order mix up

1 - We get a bit of a tailwind over the Irish Sea and most of the pond...but...2 - But things change over Labrador....not so lucky with the winds...3 - Land ho - just finished the pond hop...

1 - 7 hours later, we are on the Simco2 arrival...nearing WASIE, we fly near my place in Newmarket..just up from the water tower.2 - Touchdown runway 05 CYYZ - reversers seem to be working3 - Slowing down with some help from the wing parts ;-) Was a greaser landing in gusty winds...

The crew usually gets 24 hours layover, we had 240 hours to kill so we went around my old stomping grounds.1 - At the Tower of London where a few people got their 'ed chopped off, including a King (Charlie 2 I think)...me and the intended with Tower Bridge in the background (the one the rich Texan thought he was getting when he bought 'London Bridge'....silly colonials ;-) Tower was very cool, lots to see, the Queen has some nice jewellrey on show for the poor people to dream about. 2 - Another shot of HMS Eagle - I spent about 100 hours on it and left it in the UK for me pop's x-mas pressie...he was 'chuffed'. Dad was on the Eagle 1952-4 working on Wyverns, Sea Fury's, Vampires, and westland whirlybirds. They invented the angle deck around that time and began using lights instead of flagmen to assist the pilots 'controlled crash into the deck', aka carrier landings in the 50's when jets were new on the ships...Eagle was scrapped circa 1972, it's sister ship Ark Royal was around until 1980...I watched them tow it off to the 'nakkers yard', very sad day...it was the last of the fixed wing/catapult carriers. HMS Invincible and its' Harriers were the future of Rule Brittania.

Some third rate dump called the Ritz ...they dragged me out to in London to celebrate the news ;-)The tea was nice, scones were fresh, and hardly any rat droppings at all..only 27 pounds 50 per person...

1 - A ship of a slower kind at my old stomping grounds in Portsmouth...a lot has chnaged since I was around there, not to mention all the navy ships are no where to be found.2 - My charriot awaits at M24, EGLL...the party is over...it's raining, all the money is spent, the tearful goodbyes are done...but I am happy as a pig in shite because I am gonna fly home on a real PIC767 ;-)The details of both flights are on a serperate post.
