February 12, 200323 yr Indeed, I jumpseated a Monarch A320 on a flight from Luton to Malaga some years ago and climbing up over the English Channel through about FL220 we were only making about 1,200fpm (on our way to FL370 I recall). In the latter stages it was more like 600fpm! I remember we had about 11t fuel on takeoff and a full pax load, still nowhere near MTOW.
February 12, 200323 yr Author Iz,I am still experiencing the snail-like moving with park brakes on at idle thrust. (PW model)How could this little annoyance be corrected ? Any ideas ?Tero PPL(A)
February 12, 200323 yr Author addition...Also, I have now experienced NON-idle descents with the PW model. At the moment I'm coming down from FL210 and the AT is keeping a 67% thrust to maintain ECON DES in VNAV.I wonder why the RR version of the FDE is so much different.Tero PPL(A)
February 12, 200323 yr This is so strange. I have to believe this is tied to one of three things. (note - every one of these things have "MAY" in them, truth is I have no idea what is going on except that the differences we are seeing are real)The different liveries with different thrust settings MAY have more than just thrust settings effecting thisThe thrust settings MAY be very sensitive and cause dramatic changes in performance even with a relitively small change.FS2002 realism settings MAY be driving us all to different results.Who knows!
February 13, 200323 yr Hi,I have problems with 757 on final APP. When I stear to much to the left/right it continuesto turn. Sometimes I can recover but other times Ijust crash.I don't see any problems on the forum about this, somaybe someone know what I am doing wrong...Ciao,FlyerNL
February 13, 200323 yr I could be wrong here but I thought that in the real bird if you bank the aircraft more than 6 degrees it will continue untill you make another input. If less than 6 degrees the wings will go back to level flight?HPSOV, Iz???Best Wishes,Randy J.
