Dynamic flight of 767-300ER

If you use POSKY's air file, please do not say you are using my merge, because you are not. You'll have a strange mix of the flight dynamics parameters in the aircraft.cfg plus those in POSKY's air file. Who knows what will happen.I have a lot more faith in the accuracy of the PIC air file than I do of POSKY's. Regardless, the panel is designed with PIC's air file in mind. The autopilot is tuned for it, etc. If that doesn't matter to you, go ahead and do as you choose.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

No, they're not. But they're close enough that sacrificing panel functionality and operational realism by using the POSKY airfile is not worth it. As all the others have said in this thread, the PIC panel was custom-coded and uses only very few FS parameters, therefore it will not work properly with another airfile, as the custom-made parameters will be missing.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Hy all,When you make the POSKY "merge" with PIC which is the type of mdl file to use?also: Who looked the file aircraft.cfg of 767PIC with "AIRCRAFT EDITOR" of FS2002?I have a doubt because any parameter have a strange value. I don't kown if this is normal or...Thank youValerio(Italy)

All you are doing by "merging" Posky with PIC 767 is using the model and textures of the posky aircraft. It's like PIC 767 with a exterior upgrade. Best Wishes,Randy J. I was waiting on this to go into a ..POSKY sucks talk..but it didnt.I guess we are finally starting to get on the good side of the PIC forum. Even tho we provide atleast a nice model for you to use..lets try not to forget that.41,200 downloads and counting on Avsim alone.http://www.projectopensky.com/banners/gary_banner.gif

No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Hi Gary, apart from the fact that those 'POSKY sucks' type posts are rude and immature, they completely miss the point. The fact of the matter is, that PIC will not work properly with any FS2000/FS2002 airfile - the panel uses an FS98 FDE. So there is no way of comparing the performance of the two FDEs using the PIC panel - for all I know, POSKY may well have developed the most accurate 767 flight dynamics ever, but having to use a native FS200x panel to get it to perform properly makes it somewhat unattractive for me.Now PSS is a different story - they use a lot more of the default FS parameters, so it takes only a few tweaks in the aircraft.cfg and you have it running very nicely with POSKY's airfile (which I found not to 'suck' at all).I don't think anyone ever disputed the excellent quality of the POSKY models - and your superb repaints make them all the more enjoyable...Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
