February 28, 200323 yr Hello everyoneI don't write English very well but I have a question!!I ask to you if the flight dynamic of 767PIC are tuned with FS2002 because there are in internet many kind of this file (es. dynamic POSKY, merge PIC-POSKY ecc..) and I don't know what is the most real. Can you help me for know wich is the better file dynamic for the 767PIC??? Thanks!!!Valerio
February 28, 200323 yr Valerio, good question.Your English is good and was easy to Understand.767 PIC Using FS2002 patch - Flight Dynamics are tuned for FS2002.Undoubtedly the most accurate Flight Dynamics ever created for an FS aircraft.767 Posky with PIC panel and Posky Flight Dynamics - Flight Dynamcis Tuned for FS2002, Not as accurate as the original PIC dynamics, some problems with the panel.767 POSKY using the PIC-POSKY Merge - Original 767 Flight Dynamics combined with the POSKY visual model. Uses the excellent POSKY visual model with the original PIC Flight Dynamics. The best Combo around for FS.Go with the PIC POSKY merge. This will Give you the POSKY visual model along with the PIC flight dynamics.Mark
February 28, 200323 yr @ Mark :How do you know this are the best flightdynamics for a FS AddOn? Is it just because it is the 767 PIC?I like it also but I always wanted to know how all those people can claim the 767 PIC has the best flight dynamics not being a real pilot or having flown a 767?Matthias
February 28, 200323 yr Well it could have something to do with a real 767 pilot developed this software (Eric Ernst)who currently flies for AA. And I can fly it to the numbers using real boeing flight manuals and procedure's.
February 28, 200323 yr Matthias,I base my opinion on that of the following forum members:BBall - Captain B757 Northwest Airlines.IZ - First Officer B757 Transavia.HPSOV - First Officer B767 QANTAS.KAM - First Officer B767 QANTAS (very rare visitor to the forum now)Eric Ernst - First Officer B767/B757 American Airlines. The 757 & 767 share a common type rating. The Interest and Enthusiasm shown by these guys for PIC proves how realistic it is. If the Flight Model was off then they would have picked up on it.I should have qualified my remarks in the first post by saying that they are the best Flight Dynamics for a Jet in FS2002.There are some really good GA aircraft in FS2002.LaterMark
March 3, 200323 yr Thanks for your interesting to anyone. My doubt comes looking the file aircraft.cfg with "AIRCRAFT EDITOR" of FS2002; but if the dynamics of 767 PIC (with POSKY merge) are the betters i will use this.Another small question: When you make the merge PIC-POSKY which is the file mdl to use? the original file 767PIC or the POSKY file.ByeValerio
March 3, 200323 yr "The 757 & 767 share a common type rating."tru, but i find it hard to believe they go without a conversion.I mean the 767 is a wide-body aircraft compared to the sleak 757-fuse it must be a hell of a difference...Any thoughts on this guys? a GFriend of mine used to fly a 767 at Citybird, and is now in train of getting a place on the 75, i'll sure ask her, but meanwhile.... ;)
March 3, 200323 yr Lenny,A common type rating means just that; the aircraft are common enough not to require much additional training. Most airlines that operate a mixed 75/76 fleet AND inter-change the crews, supplies "differences" training only. They do fly much the same, but obviously being a heavier aircraft the 76 handles a bit different. However, Airbus with their fly-by-wire and computer controlled gizmos have actually programmed an A319 to fly almost exactly like an A340-600. The 319 is a 50 ton aircraft; the 346 weighs in closer to 350 ton. Yet, to the pilot they fly and act the same in all areas, except landing and take-off due to the height difference. How do you tell the difference between a 340 and 320 series cockpit? Count the throttles :)
March 3, 200323 yr There is no differance in flight systems between the two. If you are trained on either, you are qualified for both. In fact my official Boeing/Wicat CBTs for the 767 also are used for training on the 757. So you would look only at weight and preformance etc issues for the transition from the 767 to the 757. Captian Bball and Iz fly the 757, not the 767, and i'm not sure about HPSOV. Best Wishes,Randy J. March 3, 200323 yr Hi all,What about the dynamic of POSKY's airfile? When i used PIC-POSKY merge file,i will change its airfile to POSKY's airfile.A FO of EVA AIR told my that the POSKY's airfile is much better.Thanks.
March 3, 200323 yr Hi,But I always fly 767-200er,PIC767 is 767-300er.Is the flight dynamic of 763er same with 762er?Thanks
March 3, 200323 yr hehehehe, thanks for the reply...i'll let you know what my source informs mecheers
March 3, 200323 yr Commercial Member "There is no differance in flight systems between the two"Well there are quite a few, but yes, a 757 pilot could fly a 767 should the need arise...Anyhow, the hydraulics for example are quite a bit different. The 757's "main" hydraulic system is the left (or was it the right, keep forgetting that) system whereas for the 767 it's the center hyd. system. By main I mean the hydraulic system that operates all the heavy stuff such as gear and flaps. Also, the 757 doesn't have an ADP, but a PTU.Then the bleed air system is a little different too.And there are a few more differences. The transition between the 757 and the 767 is similar to the transition between the A330 and the A340. Around 1 to 2 weeks are needed. Once qualified for both, you can fly both without going back to ground school.RegardsMark Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
