March 26, 200323 yr Well....you wondered out aloud and I responded with my personal opinion. You're certainly welcome to "tell WELP what we want"; I never said that you weren't....Since you're so positive its a "new product" how can you request features for a "new product" when no one knows what that product is? Does it make sense to request a fully functioning FMC if the "new product" is a Dash-8 for example? As this stage no one knows what the "new product" is....even in the other thread Wade never even responded to the questions that were asked.
March 26, 200323 yr You are right Working Stiff that we have no clue what they are developing. Wade does not answer questions that we ask of him regardless whether its about the up comming product or anything else. You know it's the same in the service, officers don't associate with the grunts unless it's necessary. I really don't get this "secret" bit at all. Why not get the word out? No offence to anyone here but its been bugging me for awhile and I just call it like I see it.Best Wishes, Randy J. March 26, 200323 yr This is difficult to write. I just backed up and deleted everything for the third time because I fear to disrespect some of you and that is not my intent. This is a well intended thread to list out some things that some of you think might be added or changed in a future project, I realize that. I did not respond initially because of an advancing disorder I have called A G E. You see, too many times I have seen well meaning developers, or in other situations just plain people trying to do something good, get involved with a project that would benefit many and then loose interest because of it turning into a job instead of a joy. When most of us start something out of love for a hobby and then turn it into a job of trying to satisfy everyone else, the primary motivating factor is lost.If on the other hand someone says

Do you mean the Dee Cee Dash 8? ;-) If you are talking about the DHC-8, there are many of them with FMCs... (there are some DC-8s with FMCs too but, oh well... :-))Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing
March 27, 200323 yr Hi Randy,Eric used to contribute to these forums as often as his busy flying and family schedule allowed. But then things got out of had a year or so ago, you know how that goes. I cannot recall the actual issue now, but I can recall feeling sorry for Eric at the time. When he said he would never post again here we may have though he was not so serious, but obviously he was....The events of 9/11/01 also had a profound effect on many airline pilots, and I'm sure that AA B767 pilots were amoung the worst affected, for obvious reasons. Things were never quite the same since then- then later the flaming incident I refer to above really killed it.This is just some additional perspective. Keep up the great work you are doing on the PIC panel!Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
