FMC - unable to load route from/to EHAM airport only

Featured Replies

Hi There,Such a strange problem being encountered.I carry out the Flight Plan and export it to FS2002 flights and Pilots folder and when I come to load it from the COROUTE in FMC the FPlan does not come up. Tried also with the export utility from FSNAV to PIC FMC folder but to no avail as well. The problem occurs only with EHAM airport. The scenery is from Lago.Any other one encountered this and any solutions please.Help is appreciated.Regards.AMC.

Your flightplanner probably gives EHAM its real (negative) altitude of -11'.Open the flightplan file with notepad and change the altitude of EHAM to 0.

Dear Sir,Thanks so much for your help and reply. I am attaching two flightplans taken from the zip file you gave me to download that still do not come up when i enter their name and hit COROUTE on the FMC.I would really appreciate it if you try them yourself and maybe check them by notepad and let me know if you find anything wrong.Your help is greatly appreciated as I love flying to EHAM but this thing is now letting me down. One other thing if it might help, the other aircraft I have like DF737 and PSS A320/777 etc that utilise the system to load the FP directly do not have any problems loading these FPlans....it is only 767PIC and EHAM airport.Regards,AMC.

Hi Jaaky...once again thanks for your help.I am pasting below the FP from the FMWCP folder of my generated Flight Plan from EDDF to EHAM. Can you kindly indicate where I have to alter in order to try out the FP and see if it is loaded in the FMC when I hit COROUTE button:;D:FS2000fmcwpnavdataFlightPlansEDDFEHAM.rte FlightPlan generated by WCPSFMC;D:FS2000fmcwpnavdataFlightPlansEDDFEHAM.rte Origin Airport (FRANKFURT MAIN );D:FS2000fmcwpnavdataFlightPlansEDDFEHAM.rte Destination Airport (SCHIPHOL )H,EDDF,EHAM,07R,W,ARP,,11,51.016041,8.305658,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,RENNE,B5,30,51.242222,8.147222,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,MOHNE,B5,30,51.401112,8.035278,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,HMM,B5,30,51.856869,7.708297,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,RELBI,,0,52.118057,6.812222,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,RKN,,0,52.133198,6.763878,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0End of FlightPlanThanks and Regards,AMC

Hi AMC,Mmmm am not to familiar with the rte-format, I feed the FMC pln-files (created by FstarRC).You can see that the altitude of EHAM is +000000.00 instead of the -000019.00 that it is in reality.departure_id=EHAM, N52* 18.48', E4* 45.85', +000000.00But I can't see any negative altitudes in your file, so maybe there is indeed some other reason for the plan not loading...

Hi,I don't think there is something wrong with the flightplans. I have created them myself and fly them regularly. As you can see in the commented top part of the file, they were created a few years ago when I still had FS2000...Nico

Hi again,Well I have tried it over and over again...and there are still some of the FPlans involving EHAM that the FMC is reluctant to load for whatever reason. Can you please advise me what is FstarRC and from where I can purchase/download it....and as well is it possible to advise me how to edit the pln file created by the flightplanner in order to try and check out what is different in the flight plan between one that is loaded and another one that does not load.Again thanks for your help which is greatly appreciated.Regards.AMC1973

The flightplan from Frankfurt to Amsterdam worked for me. Maybe you're missing a step - here's what I did - it's all covered in the manual, but here we go.I took that flight plan that you gave us (EDDF to EHAM). I saved it to a EDDFEHAM.rte file, and saved it in the FS2002FMCWPnavdataFlightPlans directory. Make sure that it has a .rte extension, and not txt. Your flightplanner should take care of this though. After you load PIC767, open the FMC. Go to the RTE page. You should enter EDDFEHAM on the keypad, then select the line on the right, under "CO ROUTE" - it should be the third button. PIC767 should load the flight plan, and automatically change the Origin and destination to the correct airport. Also, the LEGS page should have the waypoints. If that's not working - I don't know where to start. There is nothing wrote with that flightplan - it's works fine for me. Do you have the patch 1.2? I don't see how that would change anything, but you never know.Alex

>Can you please advise me what is FstarRC and from where I can>purchase/download itFStarRC is a Peter Dowson program to make a flightplan for Radar Contact but it makes pln-files also. Unfortunately it is not stand-alone but is made to intercept the print output of the Jeppesen Flitestar planner. This program is not free, it actually is quite expensive, but it is a very good planner.

AMC,I have the same problem as you do. EHAM will not take in the FMC. Every other airport does. I create most of my plans using FSNav 4.51 (that is until FSBuild 2.0 comes out at the end of this month hopefully) and everytime I have to manually input all the waypoints into the FMC instead of using the COROUTE button like I do after exporting all of my flightplans into the appropriate folder. I don't know why EHAM is like this and wish I had a solution as well.

I use FsNav 4.51 too. If I create a flightplan in FsNav from/to EHAM, then export it, the PIC FMC fails to recognise it. If, however, I edit the flightplan, as suggested above, by re-setting the EHAM elevations from negative to zero, the PIC FMC will then recognise the CoFlight.Does anybody know why the FMC fails to compute a flight if an elevation is below sea-level? Is this simply a programming error?Paul

Hi,The flightplan EDDFEHAM that I uploaded earlier in this thread, has a negative altitude for RW06 at EHAM....W,OM,,12,52.254726,4.646391,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,RW06,,15,52.287907,4.734019,0.000000,0.000000,0,-11,0This works fine(!), no problems with it in my configuration.Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
