As soon as I can remember how to convert my bitmaps into jpegs, I will post the screen shots..saved on hd for those who doubt...but here is the raw data.RTE Distance 3141nm EGLL/27L WOBUN2G WOBUN WELIN UA2 TNT UL28 RODOL UP6 BESOP UN551 NIBOG 5620N 5730N 5740N 5650N SCROD VALIE N248C YBC YMX J546 V300 YSO SIMCO2 CYYZ ...15LFuel at T/O 43.8 TZFW 111.1Cost Index 90 / Mach .80 / Meteo 5.1@FL340 TADEX winds 230/74@FL340 NIBOG winds 230/33 - GS443 M080@FL350 5620N winds 270/38 - GS422 Fuel rem 33.2t@FL350 5730N winds 350/15 - GS454 Fuel rem 29.8t@FL350 5740N winds 220/48 - GS425 Fuel rem 26.8t@FL350 5650N winds 240/49 - GS411 Fuel rem 23.7t@FL350 SCROD winds 250/80 - GS390 Fuel rem 21.2t- At 4hours 43mins in, increased to Mach 82 - @FL350 VALIE winds 260/108 - GS375 Fuel rem 20.2t@FL390 270nm n/east of YBC winds 270/110 GS373Traffic bunched up a little on arrival with 3 BAW's ahead of me, Toronto gave me late change to 15L about 20nm east of YYZ...off with the A/P and cancelled IFR for a visual approach...shaved 6 mins off the flight and beat the BAW's to the touchdown...not that they hadn't already been disqualified for flying at Mach 84 in their 767's...was that ActiveSky Wxr v.BAW you fellas were using??? Winds very generous all the way for BAW by about 60kts+ to the tail by my guessing ;-)Touch down at 7hours 36 minutes, 10.2t fuel remaining for a total burn of 33.6t.What a day!Rob.PS - Actual r-w flight time of ACA869 was 7hrs 37mins today.

Rob,sounds pretty realistic for both the flight time and the burn off.If my PC hadn't crashed, I reckon I would have taken about 7hrs for the flight @ M0.82 all the way across. As mentioned in Bill's post anyone with a BAW callsign flying their 767 at M0.84 with a tailwind is disqualified.

BAW115 herefair and square7hr 39'started off with CI80 at .80 init FL320 stepping it op by 2k each time, as efficient as possible. all the way op to FL390 by TOPPS.Then i was fortunate to be given a direct to Simcoe(YSO) jetting me in front of the other 'hurdle' of BAW's and other traffic.Total burnoff was 37.5 over those 7h39'.i dunno about disqualifications mark but it doesn't seem like i got a jump start, tail wind anywhere. I do agree to have flown at CI9999 once i passed the coast but was there a rule against this?i thought only the ZFW had to be the same for all(111.2)Anyhow, i did have a nice flightand ROB: it sure was a close one... i think i touched perhaps 30' after you...Cheers

Lenny,I Jest - There are no disqualifications. What weather were you using - FSMETEO or ActiveSky?Also how did the a/c handle at M0.84.

Did not participate but for those that used Activesky wxre, there aloft winds are still not right even with the latest beta. Seems that the aloft winds can become "stuck" and not update when they should. In turn, it will give you completely unrealistic aloft winds. FS Meteo is (right now) a much more realistic program for reliable aloft wind data.Rob, noticed in your post you are using FS Meteo 5.1. Did you know version 5.2 is out?

Hi allHad a great flight yesterday. First with you PIC-heads. I went with Mike's prefiled flightplan except an unintentional shortcut between REDBY and YOW ;-). Had a pretty close encounter with BAW855. Nice smooth landing at CYYZ 06L. (I was however expecting the 15L arrival)http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/7615.jpgUnfortunately I can't prove my figures with hard copy evidence but here they are.TTLD 3177 nmZFW 102.8 t (I guess that was below the required load for the race;-))------------------TO 13.20ZFUEL at TO 42.3 t------------------FL350-FL370-FL390M0.82------------------LANDED 20.50ZGATE 20.58ZFUEL at GATE 9.1 t------------------FUEL BURNED 33,2 tTTL TIME 7h30m Had ActiveSky delivering abeam crosswinds of aprox 60 knots over the pond and a slight headwind of 20-40 knots over Canada.See you next time :-)

I am beginning to think that ActiveSky is giving significantly different weather than Meteo 5.1/5.2...winds over eastern Canada (below 60N) were well above a 20-40kt at FL340-FL390.Someone else mentioned they thought ActiveSky was getting "stuck" on old weather or not updating properly.Rob.

RobI've seen this topic around as well. Would be interesting to make some kind of more scientific test than the flight yesterday! ;-)Does anyone have the real winds aloft diagrams for yesterday for the north atlantic handy?Regards

I have the May 4th NAT 0600Z FL340 24hr forecast still, but it's copyright Jeppesen so I won't go posting it here. All I can say is there's no way any of you should of had tailwinds westbound over the Atlantic yesterday. It would have been mostly crosswind until 40W, then roughly 70-90 knots on the nose until landfall. I don't have the 1200Z forcast, but I don't imagine it was too different. Then again, that's real data, not FS2002.Regards,Graham

Hi all, just one question.I have both FSMeteo 5.2 and ActiveSky v 1.7.They both have the option to download weather from the Vatsim servers.Wouldn't this make it the same for everybody independently on which program they use??Regards,Bjorn

That crosswind sounds about what I had. But after that, as I said, I encountered a 20-40 knot headwind.Interesting...Regards,
