Hello all. After hearing the news of plans for a new PIC, I thought I'd show my support and order the old one, I decided I'd continue to use it with FS2002(which isn't going anywhere for awhile, though I have FS9 as well). I've heard about and read about PIC for a long time, but for some reason or another never ordered it. Have I ever been missing out. Randy, (crvm), told me nothing compared to PIC long ago, but I *sigh* didn't listen. Well, I must now make up for lost time. There is such a definite difference, in the way the aircraft and panel behave in comparison to every other add-on, but it is hard to describe. All I can say is that I am very happy with this "old" version, and even though I just started using PIC, I am excited about the new version whenever and if ever it arrives. As of now, I am using the iFDG model with PIC, but only the model, stock PIC airfiles. No issues and the iFDG model looks sweet. I'm also already using Mr. Lee Hetherington's TCAS, which works most excellent. I'd like to know if there are any other add-on's to get that improve or enhance PIC any further. If you have any suggestions, please post a reply. When FS9 was released, I bought about 31.5 seconds later, and haven't looked back, until now, that is. After installing PIC, taking it up for my "BEFORE I READ ANYTHING LET'S SEE IF I CRASH IT" flight, and then settling down with the manuals, I seem to have forgotten all about FS9, and haven't started it up again since. I invite you all to *SMACK* me on the back of the head for not listening earlier.Take care,Brian J. DoneyKMKE

Have you tried the Project Opensky model with the pic air file? The pic/posky merge file from Lee is a great blend for you full simming experience. It is a great mix, try it.

Yes, I originally tried the POSKY model, but, in my opinion, the texturing of the iFDG model is 10 times better. Not entirely all that important, but I admit I like to watch sometimes too. }(

Brian,Great post... you really put it in the words. There _is_ such a definite difference, and yes.. it is hard to describe. People who haven't tried PIC don't believe that there could ever be that certain something in a PC flightsim addon. I never had that feeling with DF737, PSS products :-erks. Since I started with PIC, I have been "its advocate" around and around... it deserves it.Oh... and welcome to the group.Terooh almost forgot: SMACK!:-lol

SMACK!did that hurt?............sorry...and glad you are starting to enjoy what many have enjoyed for a very long time...there is nothing better.i myself try out a lot of different aircraft, and yet i always have to fly that '67 once a week...if i don't(i swear its true! ask my wife, she's been the victim multiple times ;-) ) i get grumpy.ever since i bought it,my life hasn't been the same....what's more, even the lives of my relatives have changed significantly,as they have to listen to truckloads of 767 yadda yadda blah blah every time we've got a family bbq :-lolhmmm...thisw just is a rather longwinded way to say i love that frikkin panel/plane combo ;-)hope you have loads of fun

Just wait till you ask a question that could have been easily answered by searching the forum archive. Even worse if the question you ask has been already been answered and is staring you in the face on page 1 on the forum. That's when the professional smackers of this forum come out. ;-) (BTW, you asked to be smacked for not picking up PIC earlier - the crowd just responded to your call)I only joined the PIC foray about six months ago and found it not only a challenge to learn the 767, but also in trying to work out the dynamic of this forum. I'm pretty happy with my progress on the former, with the latter being an ongoing effort. The one thing I have found is that if you can see past some of the sharper comments on this forum, you'll find there's a tight knit community who are nuts about 767 PIC and are generally willing to share their nutiness with you - sometimes warts and all.In summary, welcome and SMACK!Gary
