Hi Tero, just want to say thanks for the nice work. After adjusting my PFC Yoke and analog axis trim wheel for a while I have really great Airliner feel now and can "work" the 757 a bit on takeoff and landing. Also very fine trimmable. Also got Mikaels Panel mods. But now, can you guys make an FDC voice set with finnish accent to talk the checklists ;) ?Mike

Hi Mike,Glad you like it. Also, with correct elevator trim setting, you will find that you have to pull more than the 767 to get it rotate properly. This is also true for the real jet :).Tero

What is the standard trim elevator setting for the 757?I know that between 4 and 4.5 units is for 767.Alex.

NOTE DEC 15thA couple of users emailed about flap sounds repeating themselves with our FDE and config file. This was due to a problem in flap extending time section in the cfg. This has now been corrected. Also, and this is VERY important. I have updated the rudder_effectiveness part in the package. After MULTIPLE V1-cut tests (ie. engine goes out at V1), I have determined right effectiveness values for two situations:1. You fly both Y/Ds on, ie. ALSO FS auto-coordination is ON.You SHOULD have the value set at 24.2. You fly with only the left Y/D on (the actual Y/D, so you have FS auto-coordination OFF). You should have the value set at 2.I have updated the dl link accordingly. So download the package AGAIN, and just throw the new aircraft.cfg in. The air-file remains the same. There's also a couple of words about the rudder in the readme now added. In the initial cfg it was set at 10, which is WAY TOO LITTLE when FS auto-coordination is kept ON, and WAY TOO MUCH with it turned OFF.USE THE VALUES QUOTED ABOVE, THEY ARE CORRECT!Tero

I just keep enjoying it. My little son too, he started with the Santa Claus livery from Rovaniemi today with Christmas gifts on board (see pic) :)Mike

Tero,Nice job on this! That landing view, if I am not mistaken, was actually based on the bitmap developed by Phil Geddes. He had done some terrific work on a landing view around the same time that Lee Hetherington was privately working on another view. Randy later made revisions to both so I can see how one could get them all confused after a year or so has passed.Pop the download link my way also because I would like to give your creation a whirl over the Holidays.
