Just one question about the upcoming V2: will there be photorealistic sideviews when the 2D panel is used? Is it possible to take the photos in a in-flight status (with regard to selected IAS/Mach on the MCP or switch positions on the overhead?)Will there be passengers in the cabine :-) or will we look at a closed cockpit door in those silly past 9/11 times :-(Andreas HermesEDDH

Andreas,From what we have been told so far, there will be two or possibly three different models included in the Level-D Simulations 767 package. I cannot remember what the third one was off hand now, but there will be a virtual cockpit and a non virtual cockpit model. However, there wasnt any mention of 2D side views, so unless the team are going to use the existing ones from the current 767 Pilot In Command package, or create some new ones, I think we will have to merge the existing ones ourselves by editing the panel.cfg file.Gary, please correct me if I am wrong.Regards,Lee Holland.

To the Level-D Simulations 767 development team,Firstly, I am not meaning to sound harsh or abrupt here, but would it be too much trouble for one of you to advise on the above query posted by Andreas? While I fully support your decision not to give details of release dates and a comprehensive breif of implemented features at this time, I would be very grateful if you could advise Andreas, myself and any other people interested in this topic what your plans are.Secondly, I also noticed a post from last week that seems to have got lost in the dark regarding the sounds that will be included in this highly anticipated product, which has yet, still not been answered. Is it really too much of a chore to answer these relatively small queries? And finally, I appreciate that you are all busy and I am in no doubts that your next masterpiece will indeed be a work of art, but I really think you should take a little bit of time to answer these simple, yet unanswered queries.Again, I am not meaning to sound harsh or abrupt here, so I do not expect to get flamed for the above.Regards,Lee Holland.

Hey Andreas,As I said in my follow up post, it wasnt intentional to come over harsh or abrupt, so I apologise if I have offended you in any way. I will also apologise in advance once again to the development team as I do not want a hostile atmosphere to develop because of this.I do not want the development team to put everything on hold just to answer our relatively simple query. I didnt mean to give that impression. I would just like to see this small query answered once and for all.Regards,Lee Holland.

>Gary, please correct me if I am wrong.I think if you dig deeper and read some of Gary's posts you will find out there is "NO VC" option. And this would mean one thing - everything is 2D if such option is selected.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2, Omega 2.7.90 (4xAA 16xAF)

Gary's in the process of moving, but you are correct - it was stated that there will be various versions. It may not be 'written in stone'yet as to what features will show in the 2D cockpit, etc., but from Gary's response to the same question of 2D side panels, he said, "no".

Hey all,Thank you for all of your genuine replies. I am very pleased to hear that there will be a 2D cockpit only model included in the Level-D Simulations 767 package. I am not a virtual cockpit fan at all, and I am very grateful that the development team have accomodated for people like myself. It is not a major problem in any way shape or form if they do not include 2D side views in the new product. This will just mean that we will have to merge the current 2D views from the 767 Pilot In Command package by editing the panel.cfg file.My only gripe yesterday was that it felt like genuine posts regarding small queries such as ours were going un-answered, when at the same time, a lot of old and or rather irrelavant posts were being answered left right and centre.Thank you again for your replies. I am looking forward to flying the Level-D Simulations 767 into Heathrow for the first time to begin her long and successfull career for British Airways Virtual.Regards,Lee Holland.
