Is it possible to have 2 of the exact same joysticks running at the same time on Windows XP and FS2004?thanks. In case youre wondering, I usually fly with one joystick and I bought a 2nd one that is now disasembled that is being used for my linked yoke project (www.freewebs.com/flightlevel180) . Once the linked yokes are working, I wont have rudder or throttle function and so I would like to use the joystick that is still in one piece as an interim tiller and throttle lever. Thanks,Eric

I don't know if 2 USB joysticks are working, but probably yes!I have and old MS Sidewinder Force Feedback in game port connected and Usb CH Yoke & Pedals. They are working all together and Fs support them. The only problem is, that if you have forgotten in one joystick the throttle up (not idle), you can't ajust the throttle with the other and many other similar problems. The flying joystick/yoke must have 100% the control of the aircraft and the other not flying must be 100% idle.Eddie ArmaosOAL331Athens-Greece

I used to have a CH Products USB yoke and a Logitech USB Wingman hooked up at the same time. I found that I got a lot of jerkiness of the controls. I surmise that one of the USBs was sending noise in the system that MSFS was seeing as control commands.John

It should work without a problem yes.I got 2 Sidewinder Precision Pro joysticks at home. 1 is disasembled and the other has got the print taken out and mounted external in a case. This last way enables me to switch which potentiometers are wired to the print of that joystick. Either my throttles and rudder, or my joystick (for flying desktop-style).

Thanks for the replies. Just to clarify. This is a temp solution. Im waiting for the 737NG throttle to be released by FDS later this year and until then, that is what I will be using the 1 joystick for-throttle and the twisting action for a taxi tiller. The other one is disasembled and placed in the case that is supporting the interim linked yoke system. If this proves unreliable, I will just go ahead and order an interface solution such as phidgets for the lot of it. thanks again! BTW, I will just disable the throttle on the yoke system joystick. to see the project, go to www.freewebs.com/flightlevel180 Eric T

Is there an interface or a software who permit to link two force-feedback joystick together to figure the pilot and the copilot stick ?-> when you move one the other move the same If it's not exist it would be a good idea to create it ?Thank's BOB

Not sure about that. Although some like force feedback, Ive never cared for it. It's also beyond the scope of my current project, but good luck with an answer! I do plan to have force on my yokes one day that will move them as a result of A/P though. Eric

I have a wheel that I sometimes leave hooked up to my computer and forget to take it off when I am going to go flying (I forget or I get lazy, whichever :-))..if the wheel is mapped to being the same kind of controls (left/right for roll, gas/brake for throttle) and I accidentally bump the wheel while using the controls from my joystick, FS ends up switching between which is my active controller and starts using input from the wheel. A simple nudge on my joystick resets command back, but I have to readujust every axis I hit on my other controller...slight issues...if you're using pieces from one joystick, make sure you disable the ones your not going to use (the stick movement for pitch/roll) and only have 1 joystick axis per function...the Saitek X45 for roll, pitch, trim and throttle and the CH Pedals for rudder (by default, FS sees the pedals as pitch and roll for the toe-brakes unless you remap them)

The game "Lockon" wants two seperate id-names and gets confused when I use identical sticks. Furthermore it is dificult for me to seperate the two sticks for programming and windows sometimes agrees resulting in garbeled calibration. Why not make an mjoy interface for the second stick.
