Anyone build a mjoy-usb joystick interface?. http://www.mindaugas.comThinking of building one myself. Is this as simple as it sounds? Does it perform as desired?

yes it is... ;o)I've build mine in one evening and it was almost the first time I was soldering something. But at the moment I am stuck with mechanical part of work - about fifth time I am changing design of my future rudder pedals, so I am looking forward what will be once I start on a yoke! I planning to make another one for throttle quadrant too - with additional benefit of all those buttons :() But for that it would be nice if Mindaugas can make a soft without autocalibration of center position, maybe I should send him a mail with a humble request thou it will be a long time until I got around to do it. Dan

This looks a lot like what Leo was doing at Beta.John

Wonderfull.Thank you buddy!!!BTW, any progress on 16 bit version? Gee... I am apparently getting greedy :)

A 16 bit interface??? I cannot wait. Will it be able to use hall effect pots as well?Steve

>A 16 bit interface??? I cannot wait.>>Will it be able to use hall effect pots as well?>>SteveActually 16 does not mean 16 bit. It means ATmega16 chip instead of ATmega8. But anyway it will be big enhancement comparing to MJoy.Hall pots should be no problem as long as they produce a voltage somwhere in 0...+5V range on their output.

I thought the same thing, this is looking better all the time and is especially welcome now that Beta Innovations is no more.

I agree. The more innovation the better.John
