pre-release of the enhanced SDK for LDS 767

Featured Replies

The enhanced SDK for Level-D Simulations 767 is released in the AVSIM library (look for "level-d_767_enhanced_sdk.zip").This is the new SDK that will ship with the LDS 767 SP2 to be soon released ! There is a backward compatibility, so the programmers can already use it to update their software interfaces, but you need the LVL-D 767 SP2 to get the new features working. This SDK brings also compatibility with Aerosoft's EFIS boxes. The owners of the MCP747/EFIS boxes will need an updated mcp747.exe that will be shipped with SP2.Note this SDK is released as this. No support will be provided.Laurent Crenier,Level-D Simulationswww.leveldsim.com

And here's a direct link to the library page for your convinience.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...misc&DLID=73002Thank you VERY much Laurent, and of course our thanks go to the whole team, for providing us the tools to drive this excellent simulator with our hardware.George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.pnghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg

Thanks for the link, George !

Laurent,I think, also on behalf of several others,(on vacation, no FSCONV update for 2 weeks .....)many, many thanks for this great tool !!Hessel Oosten, Netherlands

Hi LaurentJust want to echo thanks to yourself and team for providing the SDK for us.Can you briefly outline what the enhanced version provides with regard to the FMC....only fix of KA mode problem or more? Many Thanks again!

the FMC keyboard will be completely accessible through the SDK

LaurentThis is fantastic news...this will make such a difference when using a hardware FMC keys. Have never known such support and willingness to respond to user requests....above the call of duty and expectation!I'm sure many of us who build 767 flight decks would be willing to pay for even further functionality in some sort of add-on package, but I realise its probably not commercially viable for you to go down this path. In particular networkable gauges would be superb, as frame rates are still an issue when using multiple monitors with all but an absolute beast of a pc.Really appreciative of the product and support you have provided now regardless of any future developments. Many Many Thanks....

Just as a question, weren

Hi everyone,I am still having a ball building my overhead al the moment.I have been looking foreward to to SP2 for the new stuff (especially the lights). I have now basically hand built korry style switches for every switch, and each annunciator - even knowing that they probably won't all be supported (trying to think ahead). I am running with 2 phidegt LED64, 1 GammRay 256, plus other bits and pieces in there. I probably wouldn't have even started, if it wasn't for Nico and the great work he has done there with fsconv. To my question. :)The annunciators in the top left of the overhead has lights for L AOA, Stab Trim, Pitot warnings, plus others. At the moment, I am trying to read a values from FSUIPC for the main doors to light up a couple of these lights. I have read through the new SDK, and there doesn't seem to be a way to figure out these values. Is there any way to determine some of these variables, similar to Nico's section on derived values.?Just throwing this out there. I really really appreciate all the work everyone has done. I love the way this project is moving.Everyone keep up the great work.CheersChris G

Hi Chris,Can't answer your question, but there is hope......In about 3 weeks Nico is back from holidays.Hessel Oosten

Ian and all other builders!>This is fantastic news...this will make such a difference when>using a hardware FMC keys. Have never known such support and>willingness to respond to user requests....above the call of>duty and expectation!Today my wife and I got back from a relaxing and interesting 3-week Holiday, without newspapers, tv, computers and internet access. I know know, that living without computers, is also possible!!But I still was happy to see the release of the SP2 this week. ;-) The first thing I will add to FSCONV is FMC button control. I already have developed some preliminary code so that should not take long. And Ian for your information: I also have developed an extension to the Aerosoft MCP variables.txt file with bit toggle commands for the FMC button bits. So for Aerosoft MCP expansion port users like you, it will be just a configuration update: removing the keystrokes and selecting the corresponding button bit command instead. No hardware changes needed. With this FMC addon we will all be able to operate the FMC without the need for mode switching which is less prone to errors and more realistic. The only thing that still seems missing is the signal for the EXEC light... Laurent? After the FMC, I will probably add Lights and EFIS controls and statusses to FSCONV, but that will take a little bit longer, I also have to go back to work you know...Finnaly I would like to say a big Thank You to the Level-D development team, they do a remarkable job!Nicowww.nicokaan.nl1704.png

Hi NicoI must say I have been awaiting your return from holidays...a lot of us builders are becoming very dependent on you! I guessed that FSCONV current versions were not totally compatible with SP2 after my overhead lights went haywire after the update install!I am very appreciative of your efforts to get the FMC up and running as well as the MCP variables.txt...this will be so good and a bit of a relief...didn't fancy having to change interface on my FMC!!!I have most of the Overhead,Derived,Radios etc. variables entered in FSBUS FSIF.ini now to add to George D.'s AFDS. When complete I'll send you a copy to put up on your site. Thanks Again

Hello Laurent,First of all let me thank you for your great work on the LDS767, undoubtfully the most realistic "addon" for FS in the world (the term addon actually downgrades the product, but I cannot find any better word for it...)My question is concerning the SDK, I already asked it in the LDS Forum, but maybe it got overlooked:-Are there any flags to tell the state of the masterwarning and caution light (warning on/off, caution on/off) and a flag of the cdu exec light? (on/off)Hopelfully this is/will be implemented, so one can use it in their home setup!ONce again, thanks for the 767!Martin Ton
