April 30, 200620 yr I was wondering how long it takes to get a reply when signing up to virtual airlines.I read an article in PC pilot and thought i would join a VA.As i live in the UK i was interested in UK or european airlines. I Have signed up for Fly UK, Flybe Virtual and Eastjet virtual and KLM Virtual a few days ago but have not had any replies from any as yet. I realize that it is just normal people that run these sites and they have their own lives as well but i would have thought i would have had a reply from at least one of them. Maybe their not interested in new pilots. Makes me think maybe they dont exsist any more but not removed their website. Can anyone recommend a European VA that is easy to join up to.Seem to get better response to US VA's as i signed up to United Virtual no Probs. Many thanks
April 30, 200620 yr Try "Livewire" their about the biggest VA, and fly all over the world, and you get paid, which you can spend in the casino!http://www.flightbase2000.com/
May 1, 200620 yr Reply should be a couple of days, however, I strongly recommend you only sign up for one VA in Europe and one in the US. There is no way you can keep up with the minimum flying requirements of 6 VA's. Report back in 3 months and let us know how many you are still active with....my guess 1 or less.Mark. Mark CYYZ
May 1, 200620 yr Response time also ought to give you a clue about the airline you're considering joining. :-)
May 2, 200620 yr Consider SunAir Express. It was the first VA, May 1992, and we're still around. Our newest flight schedule has more flights out of our European hub to Europe, Africa, and Asia, than in our four US hubs combined. Can you fly the default MS FS9 B737, takeoff and land in instrument metereological conditions? If so, consider us. Oh, and we can get back with you righ away. Whichever one you join, hope you have hours of enjoyment.Regards,Dave Vegahttp://www.sunairexpress.com dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
May 11, 200620 yr I recommend Eurowings (www.eurowings.com) I was flying with them for a while, but due to real world commitments I had to scale down to one VA. Eurowings has a pretty large fleet, no testing necessary, quick promotions and they have scheduled flights, charter and tour flights. Their website is very professionaly done too.
May 12, 200620 yr >I recommend Eurowings (www.eurowings.com) I was flying withI recommend using the correct URL: http://www.ewgva.de/news.aspThe one you gave leads to the real Eurowings website. ;)Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg
May 23, 200620 yr I recommend FlyUK Virtual Airlines. I have been a member for about 10 months. It has a large fleet, and NO hubs. You can fly from any of their UK and Geneva locations. The only restriction is the type of aircraft you can fly depends on the hours you have flown. After about 50 hours or so you would be cleared for most of the aircraft. This VA uses Teamspeak and IVAO. On Teamspeak you can interact by voice with the members who happen to be online. Members help each other out with a variety of Sim questions, including product reviews. Personally I think IVAO software is more user friendly than VATSIM. Also IVAO is heavily involved with European locations, while VATSIM is more involved with North America. Stanner
