Got mine. Works with FSMax in on-line mode.Tried a flight down in New Orleans this evening.Rain shows on weather radar but as with the off line mode, Lightning strikes still do not show in FSMax.I assume this will eventually get fixed.Nice to have the on-line mode working with FsMax, otherwise FSmeteo seems to work as good as before.

Just got mine. Will probably end up buying Flightmax tomorrow. :-)Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 29.42 WHQL Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298

I can't believe what I'm hearing. I have to fork out another $25 canadian to get a few more enhancements ? This doesn't seem right to me.SteveCYYZ

>I can't believe what I'm hearing. I have to fork out another >$25 canadian to get a few more enhancements ? No, you don't have to do anything, but have you considered that your initial investment still allows you to draw on a very reliable service requiring servers running 24/7 and a substantial internet bandwidth? Those things cost a lot of money, and I have no problem with contributing a modest sum now and then if that's what it takes to keep things going.

I have to say I am not happy with having to fork out $36 AUD for future updates, I know I won't be. I didn't recall seeing anything about needing to pay more money after 12 months. But that being said, Marc does update a fair bit and is excellent with his customers.

I don't remember ever seeing anything about NEVER needing to pay more money after 12 months. I'm also practical and realize that unlimited updates and support for free is not going to happen. If you use FSMeteo frequently (on every flight for me), it is definitely worth a little money to support the author. Why would he want to continuously work on making the product better without expecting some folks to pay up. He could have just said everyone must pay. Marc was nice enough to give those who've purchased in the past 12 months a break. Even those with the current version don't have to pay the full price, just the upgrade price.BTW, got mine yesterday. Works great.

Well when you purchase software you don't expect to need to pay for updates. It's like MS charging for updates etc.But you're right, he works hard on making adjustments and it's well worth it to some, but not me. My current version works fine, as long as it doesn't expire I'll be happy.

Marc is a true product support person that stays on top of his product. He has done an outstanding job helping us with minor problems plus giving us an outstanding product. I for one never use FS without Meteo. Keep up the good work Marc! Thanks!!!!Erv KSDF

Pleased to see all you existing customers with the new version, or an e-mail with details of the upgrade.I have used FS Meteo since 1998 and always had excelent service from Marc, however as I write (1610Z 24/9/02) I have still not received any notification from Marc :'( I will wait until weekend before e-mailing him, I'm sure he will be pretty busy right now.
