October 3, 200223 yr I found this pretty neat website that allows you to access the latest weather information reported by weather bouys. Fly into this stuff!www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/WestGulf.shtmlMark
October 3, 200223 yr Cool thanks for the info. Appears their site is getting hammered because i cant get in. This storm does look pretty bad I am going to keep my radio listening to 13927 USB have reports of TEAL-XX a/c (Hurricane hunters) doing phone patches with CNN, hurricane centre, and other TV outlets.
October 3, 200223 yr The bouys are cool... but if you want updates directly from THE source - go to the National Hurricane Center's site at www.nhc.noaa.gov . They have all kinds of information there for hurricane fanatics.Marc
October 3, 200223 yr One thing that bouy data gives you that is pretty neat is wave height. When I posted this link, one bouy was reporting 70 kt. winds, rapidly falling pressure, and wave heights of 40 ft.! Makes me seasick just thinking about it!Mark
