Flakey Flightstick

Featured Replies

My bulletproof CH Flightstick Pro has been acting up. The hat switch, which once permitted me to look left and right and pan VC's in MSFS 2002 has now gone to a simple switch view function...duplicating the default S keyboard function. I've recalibrated, but can't find any way to bring back the stick's function... Running XP.Any suggestions? Thanks

If you mean it went to a 4-way view, then the stick is probably just fine. There's a flag in the CFG file for FS called something like "pan_in_cockpit_mode" that's set to either "1" or "0". If it's wrong, the panning is disabled. Any chance that got reset somewhere along the line?- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com

Thanks...I don't have that line in my fs2002.cfg. I'll try adding it...

Hi. See if you have something like this in the .cfg file. TV{CONTROLS}stick_sensitivity_mode=0KBDAIL=64KBDELEV=64KBDRUD=64PAN_RATE=400Pan_in_cockpit_mode=1 <<<<<<<<<<

Thanks for the tips...I finally sorted it out.I did a clean reinstall of FS2002 and did not get a "pan_in_cockpit_mode=" line. Joystick hat switch functioned in switch view mode only. Unable to pan.I then added the "pan_in_cockpit_mode=" line with both 0 and 1 switches. Still unable to pan. For my next trick I downloaded and installed the CH Gameport Device drivers, V.1 for XP. That did the trick...I'll play with some of the settings on the .cfg you pointed out on the next rainy day.Cheers!
