Check your owners manual for the MB... should be something in there about dumping the BIOS and reverting back to the factory BIOS. On my A7N8X it's as simple as removing the battery and shorting a jumper (which just happens to be next to the battery).Good luck,

Probably. My wife has the same motherboard, but she'll kill me if I start fiddling around with her BIOS, just to try out a few options :).Another thing, as you obviously have access to a computer, go to the Asus website, and download another BIOS that is specifically for your motherboard - you may have inadvertently installed one which was for an earlier/later revision. Copy that to a floppy, following the instructions, and try to boot from that.Cheers,Gosta.BTW: Next time, please do make a copy of your current BIOS, before you upgrade - this is one instruction that's worth adhering to :). http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Oops, sorry, looks like you'll have to try and reset the BIOS via the jumpers. Also try removing the battery, and give it some time to reset (some chips can hold information for a very long time), then try again - hopefully you'll be back to your original BIOS.EDIT: Then again, what type of keyboard do you have? If it's anything fancy, try plugging in the oldest one you can find...Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

ok well i think i will power off, start her cold then press DEL key, but then what?

Right, turn off your computer, wait half a minute, start it back up and go into the BIOS (Delete key). Then select the option ' Setup defaults'. This will set the BIOS to default to what it considers best for your hardware - it may not be the best for your performance, but you can change those settings later. First check, if Windows boots OK after all this...Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
