April 19, 200422 yr Author Sorry for my slow response... :(In my bios's Advanced Power Management, I have this....[pre]Power Management/APM (Enabled)Video Power Down Mode (Suspend)Hard Disk Power Down Mode (Suspend)Suspend Time Out (Disabled)Throttle Slow Clock Ratio (50%)System Thermal (Disabled)--------------------------Hardware Monitor (As of the time I wrote it down, which was awhile ago)CPU Temperature (41.5C/106.5F)MB Temperature (30C/86F)Power Temperature (greyed out) (N/A)Q-Fan Control (Disabled)CPU Fan Speed (hovering between 2700-2800rpm)Chassis Fan Speed (N/A)Power Fan Speed (N/A)Vcore Voltage (1.536-1.552V)3.3V Voltage (3.328-3.360V)5V Voltage (5.026-5.053V)12V Voltage (11.734-11.795V)[/pre]------------------The Throttle Slow Clock Ratio has choices ranging in 12.5% increments from 12.5% to 87.5%I can't find anything in the bios relating to cpu throttling with cpu temps other than this, and this is probably something completely different..... April 19, 200422 yr The 'Throttle Slow Clock Ratio' is usually the percentage of full CPU speed that the CPU will run at if the 'System Thermal' is enabled, which in your case appears not to be the case :-(This is exactly the CPU throttling feature I was refering to. In any case though, I always have Power Management/APM features disabled (both in BIOS and Windows) on any gaming systems - I want them to run full pelt when they're switched on!I supose it's possible that some kind of throttling is going on (even though it says its disabled). Perhaps a bug in the BIOS ?_______RegardsChris Ehttp://www.circle-software.co.uk/php/html/images/logo.gifVisit http://www.circle-software.co.ukHome of X-Plane Photographic Scenery : England & Wales
April 19, 200422 yr Are the fans no longer changing speed because they are permanently running fast? Inspect the heatsinks. Mine were full of dust.RegardsHoward Regards Howard H D Isaacs
