January 12, 200422 yr It was mentioned that the Alpha Update integrates with the FSUIPC visibility smoothing routines. I was wondering about proper settings to achieve this:AS2004: Visibility Smoothing option on or off?FSUIPC: Same question... if FSUIPC visibility smoothing is to be toggled "on", are there any other settings related to visibility within FSUIPC that should be set? (I have the registered FSUIPC version 3.35).Thanks for the great program!Jim Barrett Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. January 12, 200422 yr hi all, same here - would appreciate settings within AS2004 and also in FSUIPC (maybe some screenshots)..i always get confused what to turn on or off to achieve the mentioned results...see my other answer/report on the alpha release thread.thanks for your great support!cheers, harald heidinger/loww
January 12, 200422 yr Recommended settings:FSUIPC: Minimal weather defaultsAS2004: Global Writes ON, Route-based wind smoothing ON, Local Suppression ON at 80miles, Update Suppression ON at 2000ft. All other options to preference. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
January 12, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Jim,AS2004 Visibility Smoothing ON. FSUIPC's Visibility smoothing option will be automatically controlled by AS2004. Since you have the registered FSUIPC, you'll have further control of your FSUIPC vis smoothing option to set the desired change/interval, but the default works great in most circumstances...Hope that helps!-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
