FSBrowser Released (FREEWARE!)

Hi everyone! We have released FSBrowser v1.0, which is a complete FREEWARE web-browsing utility for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 or 2004.Many users have been using the Kneeboard in FS to get web browsing functionality, which works good, but FSBrowser does all this and much more in a very easy-to-use package, complete with favorites, multiple browser windows, and much more. The file should be available in the AVSIM libraries soon (FSBrowser10.zip), OR, get it from our site at http://www.hifisim.com.Enjoy!

Hi, folks->We have released FSBrowser v1.0, which is a complete FREEWARE>web-browsing utility for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator>2002 or 2004.I've been using FSBrowser very happily for a couple of years now to display chart/airport diagrams/approach plate pdfs as I fly. It has become one of the few programs I never fly without. Are there any differences between the version that had been available then and the new version? IIRC, the old one was v1.0, too. Thanks for providing this outstanding program!-Simon

Hi Simon,It's the same thing, repackaged from HiFi Simulation Software instead of Simulation Widgets and released as Freeware. FYI We accquired Simulation Widgets back in August '03.The only differences are the default favorites and presets. No changes to the actual module.Hope that helps!

... and working great!I am using it right now, flying AeroLivewire FLT 2964 (MMMX-KMSY). So far, no problem to report. Seems to be no effect on FPS (always a good thing!).FYI, at FL250, winds 157/09, ceiling unlimited, currently at 339 nm of KMSY, lots of turbulence for the first 30 minutes, but pretty smooth now! Thanks for this smart little add-on.

Hmmmm. Tried to install and it hangs 3/4s of the way thru. Each time....John H.

A tip for you all:Local files can be entered into the browser in the following format:

file:///c:Program FilesMicrosoft Flight SimulatorAircraftFSX-ionalsFSX-ionals.htm

just as an example, of course! Note file:///Give it a go!Best,sg
