November 17, 200421 yr I want my clouds to look just like the weather is outside (or as close to it as possible) What settings are ideal to get this with FS Skyworld? I am looking at it and it seems we are limited in our cloud sets. So if the AS wx engine calls for a particular stratus cloud say and you don't have that particular cloud set loaded, then what? I dont want it displaying something different. Eric
November 17, 200421 yr Hi,FSW only has Cumulus and Cirrus clouds. Feel free to try them all and use your favorites or choose random! You'll be OK with whatever you choose!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
November 18, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi, Cumulus set does include stratus in fs sky world 2004, only select cumulus set, cirrus set and others set from your preference and start active sky, will do the job.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
November 18, 200421 yr Hi Chris,Let me add my kudo's for a GREAT job. Your attention to detail is just beyond words. Having said that, there is a user issue I would like to comment about. Flying out of New York today with a random cloud set, I got some pretty low frames. I had been using the performance cloulds from you web site. After landing at KDEN tonight I have installed the HIGHPEFORM V2 set tonight. I went into the texture folder and notice that all the new texture for performance are cumulus clouds. What I did not notice is that when I go through the menu item, I still must select cirrus and other options. This is not very clear in the documentation. You may want to update the files for performance clouds to indicate what the user shoud do with all the other options.Again Chris, I want to just state what a GREAT job you have done :-)Bob JohnsonDenver
November 18, 200421 yr Last night i noticed that with any of the cloud sets there are a sharp edge where lower clouds overlaps ones above them, almost like they are on top of each other in some way and not transparent enough to show through the adjacent clouds, but if i use the HiFpsv2 set, this does not happen....Does it have anything to do with some alpha channel or something ?Sorry i'm not an expert on these things.....
