June 22, 200520 yr Hi new to ASV.Probably a simple answer but how do i insert my flightplan in the flightplan lol, vor's waypoints etc? so i know what the winds are like further head etc, can't seem to find anything to do this. great product btw! thanks
June 22, 200520 yr ASV is not a flight planner at all.You have to create a flight plan using FS's own planner and then import the plan into ASV.
June 22, 200520 yr HiCreate a flightplan with FS9 Flightplanner or alternatively if you have FSNavigator or FSBuild create your flighplan and convert to fs9 format. Load up ASV and then select new route and import. Select your flightplan and enter your alternate and airspeed and then click process. ASV will incorporate your flightplan and will load up the relevant cloudswinds etc and will show a screen with the winds at your flightplan waypoints for programming into an fmc etc.Hope this helps and that I explained this okay.Regards Jason
June 22, 200520 yr Author I don't have fsbuild or fsnav, i just use the fmc(i only use payware aircraft) to insert my route, i was hoping that ASV would load my route into the flightplan in ASV, guess not. anyone kknow a website that can give accurate winds aloft forecast's? jetstream in particular.
June 22, 200520 yr Here is one we used for AS wxRE:http://weather.uwyo.edu/upperair/sounding.htmlAlso, know that both FSB and FSNav have free versions "out there"!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 23, 200520 yr Author OK i have fsnav now, where can i find my flightplans i created in fsnav? and how to convert them. thanks
June 23, 200520 yr Hi,I don't use FSNav but I think you can set the export folder. I suggest the same folser as your stock FS04 plans. That way they are all in one place. ASV will be able to convert the plans after you import them into ASV.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
