Can "ICS and Random Sky/Env" update textures correctly when FS9 is open but prior to a flight being started?

  • Author

Once I've loaded weather details from a station prior to loading FS9, is there any way I can stop AS5 automatically start to load weather from the default station? For example, I load AS5 and then I load a flight plan from ABC to XYZ. Everything loads fine and completes normally. I then start FS9. The FS9 start screen shows the default airport (KSEA??). As soon as I get to this screen AS5 starts to download the weather from KSEA. Once it has finshed doing this, it then redownloads the ABC to XYZ weather. After selecting my start aiport, ABC, and time of day, I then click "start flight"It's not a problem as I can wait for it to finish. I was just wondering.

Hi Victor,This request is somewhere back in another thread. We are working on it :) "Ignore FS coordinates until Flight Loaded" option..

Yep, this has been discussed before and I'm very pleased to hear you're working on it :-)Might be wrong, but I belive all that it would take is to have ASV pick and submit the randomly chosen textures when in 'ICS + Random' mode before it pauses. Don't know what would be better - that or this 'Ignore FS coordinates...' option.Below is one of the original threads on the subject:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...&topic_id=18627
