December 17, 200223 yr Author In a lot of these carribean and south american airports we operate into you usually crank up the apu a few minutes out so you know it will be up and running for A/C and power once you taxi in. A lot of these places don't have reliable power or A/C units for us so its pretty important to have a working apu for these destinations. My guess is there is a slightly above average F/O in the right seat watching out for his Captain :) By the way, I fly these things for Delta ;)Hornit
