November 11, 200520 yr I am in simliar straits and hopefully someone will come up with something.I also installed AVS Enhanced but that hasn't improved the situation.Nigel
November 11, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi, Rino solved his problem, his FSUIPC was missing (removed for some reason) check your fsuipc if still in fs2004moduleAfter installing ASVE, make sure you add exe to the firewall pass and the port as well.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
November 11, 200520 yr Chris,Thanks for that.I know FSUIPC is still under the Module menu as that is where I first went to check the setting ASV wants. But I'll try the 'firewall' suggestion. But we are talking about ASV E not connecting to FS, not a disconnection from the Net?TksNigel
November 11, 200520 yr Hi Nigel,I have answered your e-mail about this.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 11, 200520 yr >I have answered your e-mail about this.>>Hope this helps,>JimJim,I have only received an email asking me for my purchased details of ASV and a key file from another program. That isn't helpful! The message here from Chris is helpful, giving some possible solutions.Nigel
November 11, 200520 yr OK,Hope that works out for you! If not, please post back.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 11, 200520 yr Thanks Jim,I picked up from another thread that maybe it comes with registering FCUICP and indeed if I remove the key file from mine, ASV shows connected once again. The odd thing is the prompt I had from an add-on, that I needed to register FSUICP now isn't saying that!!!Nigel
November 12, 200520 yr Hi,OK, but here is the test. Put the key file back into FSUIPC making it a registered version, and please report what happens. Thanks!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 12, 200520 yr Jim,I will try that, but I am pretty certain it will fail to connect again. After all, all I have done on that PC is remove it and run the apps. Revert to the previous situation and it is surely going reverse the way it behaves.Maybe I am being too logical!Nigel
November 12, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Nigel,If the problem is indeed that the KEY being used is causing the failure of FSUIPC to provide facilities, then you need to please supply us with your ASV order number and FSUIPC.key file so we can verify things are ok here. Without this information it is hard to help!Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
November 12, 200520 yr I will do if I am stuck. But as I say whatever prompted me to register FSUIPC because it wouldn't work without that, hasn't yet prompted again now that I have gone deregistered by moving the key file.ThanksNigel
