December 25, 200520 yr Hi guys! Its a terrific job done with the ASV6, and indeed very nice of you to give it as a free upgrade to existing ASV5/ASVE customers. Thanks!I'm still facing the fluctuation problems with this one. The temp keeps fluctuating wildly, just now as I am currentlt fr KSFO-EGLL just on climb on dep fr SFO, the temp has fluctuated wildly between -22 to -8 to -13 deg in a space of like a cpl of mins. My aircraft speeds are going absolutely berserk & am struggling to reach intial cruise of FL310!I un-installed the ASVE/ASV5 methodically as explained, removed existing module folders & installed ASV6. I have already been through two re-installs because of this problem that I'm facing, but the situation hasn't shown any improvements. I load my flt plan into ASV6 before starting FS9.1, I have selected enforcing constant route aloft temp & pressure options. Please help me with this one, I know theres a solid chance I'm doing something wrong here. Thanks in advance,Jay
December 25, 200520 yr To further elaborate, I have included some screenshots below...Appreciate any help in the matter, thanks!-Jay
December 25, 200520 yr Hi Jay,Could you post the flightplan and also give the zulu time for departure from SFO? With that I can recreate the flight by downloading archived weather. Also post your ASV.ini settings. Doubt there is anything wrong there though.Did you use flightplan in AS?JT
December 26, 200520 yr Yup I do process the flt plan in ASV6 prior to starting FS9.1.... here goes:KSFO CUIT2 SAC J32 FMG J94 LLC J32 DLH J140 SSM J500 YYB J513 YMW J524 YMX J553 YAY NATV NURSI UN550 ERNAN UL18 BASET UL9 KENET STAR EGLLThe take off roll fr SFO was at 0107zulu time.Can you please help me locate the asv.ini setting file you are talking of? ..... here goes://ASv6 configuration file Build 441[General]WindowPosX = 4110WindowPosY = 2220DefaultWeatherFolder = C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesASv6SuppressionCeiling = 10000SurfaceWindLimit = 10FS9Path = C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PersonalAppDataFolder = C:Documents and SettingsJayApplication DataCloudLayerLimit = 5LocalSuppressionRange = 100MinimumVisibility = 0MaximumVisibility = 50LastPlanFolder = C:Documents and SettingsJayMy DocumentsFlight Simulator FilesAutoVasFrequency = 5AutoVasStrength = 5TurbulenceFrequency = 15DefaultStartupLocation = KSEADefaultGraphicsFullTheme = Wx-InfluencedDefaultGraphicsCirrusTheme = Wx-InfluencedAutoSubmitGraphicsTheme = TrueIncreasedWake = FalseDisableWindsAloft = FalseForcePrimaryServer = FalseForceSecondaryServer = FalseFavorCumulus = FalseForceRoutePressure = TrueForceLowestCeiling = TrueUnpauseOnReadyStatus = FalseForceTstormsWithCB = TrueAutoSetFSTime = TrueIgnoreFSLocationUntilReady = TrueAutoConvertPlanFiles = TrueAutoRefreshAI = TrueDisableVisGraduation = FalseForceRouteAloftTemp = TrueOfflinePlayback = FalseEnableVAS = FalseAutoGenVAS = FalseForceDestinationWeatherZone = TruePreventIcing = TrueOnlineUpdates = TrueExtendedDestinationWindsForce = FalseDisableAllGroundUpdates = FalseGlobalWrites = FalseDepictFS9HazeLayer = FalseExtendTstormLayers = TrueDisableDirectWindControl = FalseVoicePlayback = TrueLocalSuppression = TrueStartupSound = TrueDisableGroundUpdates = FalseUseProxyServer = FalseFogLayerGeneration = TrueUpdateSuppression = TrueOvercastEnhancement = TrueIgnoreFSReadyStatus = TrueFSUIPCWindSmoothing = TrueLimitSurfaceWinds = FalseLimitCloudLayers = TrueAutoGlobalWriteToggle = TrueRainWithTS = TrueDisableUpperLayerGeneration = FalseVisibilitySmoothing = TrueDisableMessages = FalseAutoTimeZoneDetection = TrueUpdateInterval = 10VATSIMData = FalseZuluConversion = -5AloftPredictability = 100WindDriftRate = 0MaxCloudThickness = 10000MinStratusSeparation = 7000TAFProcessing = FalseEnforceVisibilityLimits = TrueWakeTurb = TrueStartPaused = FalseUseSystemTime = TrueDisableCAVOKClouds = FalseProxyAddress = NONEThanks,Jay
December 26, 200520 yr Yea?!This totally beats me! I have no idea!!Its just frustrating! I've already been through two thorough un-install & re-install procedures with my efforts in vain!Help us guys!-Jay
December 26, 200520 yr I haven't experienced this at all, but my flights are short (less than 400 nm), and I've really only done about 6 since ASv6 came out. Last night in the PMDG 737, my flight was fine though. Prior to that it's been GA flights IFR at around 250 nm.They'll be along to help, don't worry. Holidays and all. ;)3500 miles? December 26, 200520 yr I did RJAA to KLAX in the ready for pushback 742 a few weeks after I got active sky V, my first weather add-on other than the default downloaded weather. Then I did RKSI-PANC then PANC-KORDSince then Ive had horrible crashes I cannot pinpoint and am unable to fly that long, and work gets in the way now... but there is something cool about it. reading a book, doing laundry, etc. I love it! I wish I could do it in real life, one day hopefully...but back on topic. I have not experienced it yet, but I just finished reinstalling most everything yesterday and today. will monitor it more tomorrow and tuesday
December 26, 200520 yr Hi Jay,Your settings look good.In FSUIPC, hit the defaut settings button and weather settings off button.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 26, 200520 yr Hi! Thanks for responding Jim,I did follow that as stated in the previous topic about "More Realistic..." - I have weather settings off & default FSUIPC settings.Just one observation I made - in the ASV6 folder I have a version of "FSUIPC3.5.2" & in my modules folder I have a version "FSUIPC3.5.1" - should that be any cause for concern Jim?!Thanks again,Jay
December 26, 200520 yr Hi,Might be, copy and paste the 3.5.2 version and give things a try.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 26, 200520 yr Alright Jim,Giving this one a shot now! On another long haul.... will keep you guys posted. Thanks again for your help. I enjoy ASV6 & its features, must have to use it!! Best,Jay
December 26, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi all,Just a few more tips..-FSUIPC 3.51 had an issue with winds, so FSUIPC 3.52 is highly recommended (not that it affects temps).-Always use 200nm or more location suppression range setting when flying oceanic or other routes that have large gaps in wx reporting stations. This allows the new virtual stations to have correct influence in the wx depiction. I suggest 250nm suppression range with faster/supersonic aircraft, and 200nm with standard jets, this should really help.-You can use the new "Force constant route aloft temps" and "Force constant route baro" options to keep things more consistent if you are having trouble. This requires a flightplan to be loaded.... the wx used for force will be based on your destination, to provide for the most smooth enroute/approach experience possible.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 26, 200520 yr Hi guys! Its working now, very solid so far, replaced the FSUIPC3.5.1.0 with the FSUIPC3.5.2.0 and it looks like its done the job! Temp has stayed pretty solid.... so far, so good! ;)Yes I have enforced the route aloft temp & baro options, thanks!I've got a few pics to give you guys an idea. Thanks again & very best,Jay
December 26, 200520 yr I didn't saw those two option yet. But now it's working fine for me aswell. :)Thanks for a great addon Hifi. :)
