Hi DamianBeen testing ASv6 a lot over the past couple of days...First observation is that a lot of stations in Canada have no metar in AS even though they are reporting. Checked several sites on the web to confirm that they are indeed reporting. Also verified that most of them already exist in FS. This is mostly for CW* stations.Source problem?With the recent breakthrough in adding stations to FS, I am thinking of compiling a list of new/changed/obsolete stations. But I would like to know how you want such information. I assume the wx_station_list.txt is a complete list of all stations currently in FS?Right now I am looking at airports in Indonesia. They recently changed a whole lot of ICAO codes so WR* no longer exist. ICAO for Indonesia is WA* and WI*. From what I can see the old ones got changed to a WA* code. This basically means no metars for this area in FS :(My hope is to make an already great product even better ;)JT

Hi JT,Which stations specifically (as an example) in Canada are problematic? I will investigate...The wx_station_list.txt is the master list of all wx stations in FS9 that we attempt to control. This includes the $ virtual stations at the end. The wx station ID/location must match the FS9 wx station ID/location as visible via the advanced weather dialogs.At the server end, we also use this file to populate the client-ready data and to properly align wind data and available stations. An update of this file could be applied at the server and client ends with ease! Your help designing an updated version or supplying a list of change requests would be much appreciated. We realize that changes are occuring all the time, and it is hard to keep up with them all. We currently update this by user request on a station-by-station basis.The issue with changing station ID's (i.e. Indo's WR->WA) is that we must now fetch different (new) ID's but apply them to old ID's in the sim. We have a special process for this, where we add entries into a translation file.. I.e. WRZZ -> WAZZ. For such changed ID's, a list of which ID's to translate (in the XXXX -> XXXX format) is all that is needed to easily plug this into the server. In these changed stations, it is important that the wx_station_list.txt file contain the original/old/FS station ID. The METAR will be properly fetched from the new location but applied to the old.Best,

Hi again.Starting with Indonesia stations that need a translation.FS > New ID - NameWRSJ > WARR - JuandaWRRR > WADD - Bali IntlWIIH > WIHH - Halim IntlThose are the three that report on a regular basis. WADD was missing only 5 of the last 36 hourly reports. WARR and WIHH had only 9 reports.Havent found other stations that report, but if you have a sources that report for others please send me a list based on WA* and WI*.
