Best weather data on the web?

I have found NOAA's aviation weather service (http://adds.aviationweather.gov) to be excellent for planning flights within the US. Does anybody know of a comprehensive site for international aviation weather? Most importantly, I'm looking for winds aloft maps of Europe and the North Atlantic. Thanks!Alden

thanks jim - those sites are very helpful. i've continued my searches and have come across a few good sites.check out the USAF weather agency at:https://afweather.afwa.af.mil/weather/met/met_home.htmlthey have a lot of info on upper winds plus a lot more.also, the california regional weather service at san francisco state has great maps of the jet stream at 300mb, including the north atlantic.http://squall.sfsu.eduif anybody has anymore good wx sites, lets keep this thread going!alden

well as far as i can tell i have hit the weather motherlode!the nws has all their daily, unaltered worldwide charts available at:ftp://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/fax/Amaster_index.htmlthere is a brief introduction as well as a link to a chart refernce guide at:ftp://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/fax/Areadme_first.htmlmost files are in TIF format which is a little annoying for using within a web browser. i've set up firefox to open tif's in acrobat which is nice becase you can easily rotate the images.for an example of north atlantic winds/temps at FL340, check out:ftp://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/fax/PWAB25.TIFalden

A good site I've used for a long time. Where available for current weather is presents local and regional NEXRAD. It is also international in scope. Be sure to click on the METAR choice to view the raw METAR. For the US it also has links to aviation maps.www.wunderground.com. Enter the ICAO code in the query box.
