August 18, 200619 yr Hi.I am having a problem with auto-submit. When checked, and ASv6 updates the weather it gives me the error: Auto-Submit step 9 - Could not launch ASG with command: D:Flight Simulator 9ModulesASGraphicsASG.exe -AUTO "Wx-Influenced" - Please run ASG Manually to enable auto-submits.Naturally there are no problem when auto-submits isn't checked, but it still give me this error, even if I run ASG manually though... (?!)Thanks for a great program...-LauKS
August 19, 200619 yr Hi,Run your setup.exe for ASv6 again and chose Repair if given a choice. It may be that files are missing.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
August 19, 200619 yr Hi,I also have a problem with auto-submitting, although I'm not entirely sure if it's really a problem, or just a missing feature. In any case it's quite annoying. Here's how it is: I noticed that the Active Sky Graphics only work properly when I filed my flight plan with the Active Sky Engine. When I just fly around without a flight plan the Active Weather Graphics are present after the first weather update, but when the next update occurs FS9 falls back to stock weather graphics. I dont like that, because the Active Sky Graphics look so much more real than the stock weather and it always kills the mood when that fallback happens.Am I missing something or do Active Sky Graphics really only work when used with a Flight Plan? If the latter is the case it really should be changed, because I really enjoy flying around without a real destination in mind and I wouldn't like to do without the awesome effects of Active Sky.Keep up the good work and thanks in advance in case you can help me,Jigsaw
August 19, 200619 yr Hi Jigsaw,You are new to the forum here so welcome! Please, next time start a new thread. It really helps us keep things organized!!I am not sure what you mean by stock graphics. I say that because once you submit graphics either manually or automatically those are the graphics that FS04 has to use. FS04 cannot fall back to any other graphics until you exit FS04 and restart. Would you mean the weather conditions? You are submitting graphics with FS04 closed right? It is important to have a plan loaded in ASv6 if you are using Wx Influenced Textures. At minimum it needs to know your departure airport. Other than that AS works great without a plan. Please explain a bit more about your graphics situation and then we can help more.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
August 19, 200619 yr Hi I have tried to repair and reinstalling ASv6... and even the .Net-framework aswell, but theres no change...!?-LauKS

Okay, I'll keep that in mind for next time. It's just that other forums I know encourage to use existing threads before opening a new one. ;)>I am not sure what you mean by stock graphics. Would you mean the weather conditions? You>are submitting graphics with FS04 closed right? No, I download the current weather and keep ActiveSky in Pause mode until I'm on the runway so that it knows where I am. Then I refresh it, which autosubmits the graphics to FS2004. At first the weather looks like it's supposed to, beautiful clouds and everything. But when I fly a while, reach a new weather zone and ActiveSky refreshes the weather automatically, the old original FS2004 sky textures suddenly pop up again. As if ActiveSky forgot to send the graphics, even though it said it did ("updating cirrus only", or something like that). Only when I refresh ActiveSky manually, do the ActiveGraphics clouds come back. The difference is quite distinctive.>It is important to have a plan loaded in ASv6 if you are using>Wx Influenced Textures. At minimum it needs to know your>departure airport. August 19, 200619 yr Hello Jigsaw,Please remember that textures can only be submitted to FS when its not running, except cirrus textures. If you are flying around with no plan like VFR then go into options and set your default startup location to the airport you are flying from. If you have set ASv6 to start paused you have to hit Refresh for ASG to submit textures. This will of course bring AS out of pause mode, so you may have to refresh again once youre on the ground in FS if AS have not updated weather.
August 19, 200619 yr Hi,Please post your ASG.ini file and ASv6.ini file. You can send them as attachments if you do not wish to copy and paste into a reply.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
August 19, 200619 yr Hi Jigsaw,Let's review the steps:--Start ASv6.--Submit your textures either manually or automatically. If using Wx Influenced Textures then a plan or departing airport must be entered.--Start FS04. At this point all textures except cirrus are "locked" into place. Nothing can change them!--Place yourself at your departure airport and Refresh ASv6 to unpause it. I really think it is your weather that is changing and not your textures. You realize that ASG contains no weather data correct? No, you can still use Wx Influenced without a plan as long as the departure airport is known. Please post your ASv6.ini file and we'll take a look at your settings.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

August 19, 200619 yr Hi Jigsaw,For textures, every texture except cirrus are locked. This means ground, water, sky, cumulus clouds and any other textures in FS04. They cannot jump back.Looking at your settings I noticed a few things:1. Force Destination Weather Zone should be Off.2. Global Writes should be Off. I know that Automatic Global Writes can change this setting.3. You are autosubmitting textures, but have not chosen any themes. You still may be using stock FS04 textures. One way to check is to find your cumulus1.bmp file and see what the Modified date is.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
