January 2, 200818 yr While not a 'problem' per se, I've seen this a few times and it has gotten me curious.Sometimes when flying, using ASX, the clouds it generates are on two layers, but identical, yet slightly apart, giving them a multi layer blurred look. It's basically like one of those 3D pictures you need the red/green glasses for (but obviously the clouds are not red & green!)Its hard to explain so I've provided a screen shot below:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182742.jpgAny others experiencing this? Any ideas on fixes? Carl Hudson Intel i3 550 @ 4.20GHZ on Air with Arctic Freezer Pro 7 / Arctic Silver 5 - 4Gb Corsair XMS 3 - GIgabyte H55M-UD2H Motherboard - Asus GeForce GTX280OC 1Gb
January 2, 200818 yr Hi Carl,Never seen or heard of this before. It may be a video driver issue. Might want to try a uninstall and reinstall of those.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
January 16, 200818 yr Author Hi Jim,Just an update on this - cleaning and updating video drivers does not cure the issue. It only happens very randomly. I can go four or five flights without seeing the multi/blurred clouds. Then the sixth flight will have them.Very odd. January 16, 200818 yr Hi,If this happens again, please copy and paste the METAR into a post here. I would like to take a look. I have never seen anyone else experience this.Thanks!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
January 16, 200818 yr Moderator I've had it happen once or twice too JIm, but not enough to be an annoyance. I just figured it was just one of those things that happen.Saw this tho - http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=24082doesn't seem to be an ASX issue.VicQ6600 G0 CPU 2.4 o/c 3.65Evga 680i A1 with P31 BIOS 2G XP2-8500 DDR2 1066FSB Mushkin 996535 RAM 5-5-4-12-2T320G 7200 HD partitioned for XP/Vista/Programs 2 - 74G Raptors in RAID0 500G 7200 HD for backup SATA DVD burner Evga 8800GTS 640 PCIx 169.13 betaKandalf LCS case w/ built in liquid cooling 850W Thermaltake power supplyVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-supporter-sigbanner.jpgRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/ RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 16, 200818 yr Hi Vic,Yes, Chris's answer was going to be the same that I may have suggested, 2 layers very close together.Thanks!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
January 17, 200818 yr I see this issue also, using FEX. But only with cirrus layersI wondered if it was a video driver problem as well. January 17, 200818 yr Hi,It could be, but there would be times that other objects would be double as well.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
