May 6, 200818 yr Author Hi Jim,my flightplans are built with FSBuild; I export them to FS9.1, to load it into ASV6.5, and FSNav, where I fill in SID and STAR (it
May 6, 200818 yr Hi,Try without filling in the SID and STAR. Or let's try a GPS plan from FS04.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 8, 200818 yr Author Hi Jim,I tried a simple flightplan, build with FS9 and I tried it without importing any flightplans, but inserted under Planning Options the present airport.Under "Planning" the weather was obviously loaded and displayed correctly at the bottom. The field above "Local Information" stayed blank and so was the page "Local Information".As I wrote before, the flightplan always is shown and so is the wind-direction and speed. The settings under options are set to default.RegardsHans-Christian
May 8, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi there...I did some investigation on this problem... Just some notes:1) If you do not load the flight plan with AS6, there will only be a limited area of wx information (about 200nm) so not all your waypoints/destination will show (no wx information). You'll also not have any details for destination and/or enroute data in the tracking display, depending on the length of the flight plan of course. Solution is to load the flight plan in AS6 and give it time to update in AR.2) If you are not getting airports (dots or labels) to show up at all in tracking, there may be a corruption issue with your AirportDB.dat file in your FSModulesActiveRadar folder. You might want to back this file (and any other .dat files in this folder) up, delete it, and do a "repair" installation on AS6.Hoping this helps..Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
May 9, 200818 yr Author Hi Damian, thank You for Your reply.@ 1)In the Tracking Display "Weather Tracking" there are two sections: Above: Local Information and at the bottom: Flight Tracking. In Flight Tracking Display the weather-data are displayed as far as they are loaded. I did a mistake in my first posts, sorry. Ithink, I did not wait until the weather was loaded. Everything is ok.Above in the section "Local Information" it is possible to choose "Surface" and "Clouds". This section is stays now completly blank. I am able to choose, but there are no informations at all.@ 2)I tried Your suggestions. The repair installer added all missing files correctly, but - isn
May 18, 200818 yr Author Hello,May I ask, are there any news, or did You close this topic?RegardsHans-Christian
May 19, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi again,It really sounds like many different problems with the installation. The airports are not showing up which indicates a problem accessing the internal airport database for AR. The weather does not show up properly (including clouds) which indicates a problem accessing the AS weather file (although you indicate it is loaded at least partially? Does the weather load or not? I can't tell from your notes...)We have not had a similar report of this in over 4 years of AR and unfortunately there are no other suggestions I can come up with at this point with the exception of forcefully uninstalling/removing all FS and AS items and re-installing.If you are on a network setup there could be some configuration issues there as well, worth looking into.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
June 2, 200818 yr Author Hello Jim and Damian,I am bringing this up again, because you might want to know the reason causing my strange problem.I followed Your advice and uninstalled the whole FS9 (terrible). After a fresh installation Active Radar worked again without problems. Tonight I found out, that the bglman_skymakers.dat stops AR to load properly. This file will be created, as soon as you activate the scenery "Skymakers_Arturo Merino Benitez (SCEL)" via Virtualis Addonmanager. No problems show up, with the activation of Cloud9 or FsDreamteam products. As soon as I move the bglman_skymakers.dat out of the Module-folder, everything is ok again. A reinstallation isn
