Hi AlastairThen you'll be delighted to hear that after this ETO pack, there will be yet another C-47 expansion pack to follow, with a CBI C-47B with the umph to get over The Hump, as well as Gooney Birds and Daks from other theaters of war. Hello all, first, an enormous THANXXXXXXXXXXXXXX for these repaints (I confess I had been waiting for such beauties for a while...since I bought the DC3 indeed). :) I just wanna ask for something "special" to the MAAM team. The idea of releasing the paintings on June 6th was well-thought except that...if, like me, you live in Europe and want to "re-enact" D-Day's droppings (for any personal reason you can easily guess),you're supposed to take-off at 2000z from England on June 5th...which means we won't have the paintings for re-enacting D-Day yet. Given there is some 6 hour jet-lag between "us", couldn't it be possible to release those masterpieces during the late hours of June 5th?? ;)Cheers anyway for all your work.Best regards,Phil (a very happy MAAM DC-3 & B-25 owner!!!)

Or earlier .....Seriously, though, whilst recreating the drop in "real time" is a great idea, I guess it depends on exactly how accurate you want to get.For an exact "memorial drop" you want to start at 2000Z, which is currently 2100 in the UK (due to British Summer Time) and 2200 local in most of the rest of Europe. This will occur at 1500 local on the US east coast, 1200 local on the West Coast (those of you in the central US know what calculations to make) and around 0500-0600 local on 7th June for those simmers who live in Australia. This means that for many they will be either at work or in bed !Given that we can, actually, change time in the sim, perhaps a compromise position is to set the time and date to 2000, 6/6/05 wherever one happens to be, once you've had a chance to download and install the new plane.Whatever you decide to do, remember the real events that you're marking, and remember all those (of all nationalities) who never made it through to 7th June.Alastair

To tell the truth, it'll be 61 years that my grand-dad (a Free- French para) was dropped over France by the night of June 5th - 6th.:)
