December 23, 200520 yr Commercial Member Well, the first quarterly MAAM-SIM Screenshot Contest is officially closed with the end of Autumn. Now we would like your vote - one per person, please - no stuffing the ballot box! Besides, the votes gathered here will be just one factor in determining the winner. The MAAM-SIM developers, Museum Staff and BTBT members will also be voting, and and then we'll toss everything into a hat and see what comes out.We have had some really great entries, 89 in all. Since there is such a good number, we'll make one change and award TWO grand prizes. One winner in each of two classes - Douglas and North American, will win their choice of a present or future MAAM-SIM CD. The only hitch is that the same person can't win both. Honorable mentions in both classes will also be displayed permanently along with the winners. So please take a look at http://www.maam.org/flightsim/screenies/SCREENIES.htm and give us one vote for a Goon and one for a Mitchell. ID your selections by the little red number I have placed at the bottom left corner of each thumbnail. Remember, you are voting for a single screenshot, not an artist or a series by an artist. Other than that, judge it by your own requisites. If you want to cast a secret vote, rather than a public one here, send it to [email protected] and put Vote in the subject line.Voting will close at midnight on December 30, and we'll announce the winner by New Year's Day.Thanks to everyone who entered and the Winter Quarter contest is now officially open. And yes, you can win in succeeding quarters. We'll pick a prize from the MAAM Store for the next one.Good luck!Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/maamsim_neon.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
December 26, 200520 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks, Dorn.Come on guys - more votes please! Don't be shy. I'm getting some mails, but far fewer votes than entries! If you can't make up your mind about one, Jan Visser suggested voting for three in each category to help the winners stand out a bit better. I think that's a good idea, so I'll leave it up to you. One vote for a B-25 and one for a DC-3, or three of each in order of preference.I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas. Ours here in Laurel, Maryland could not possibly have been better as my eldest daughter and her hubbie announced that we have another grandchild on the way. That makes two in the oven, as her younger sister is also expecting, and that will be three grandkids for us, altogether. We are over the moon!Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/maamsim_neon.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
December 26, 200520 yr Hey, congrats to all, Bill! My, that Rambow RV is going to be swarming with ankle-biters at the next MAAM WWII weekend. Better lock up the beer ....MarkP.S. Talking of which, I believe they make small trailers to tow behind RVs ... think you might fit one up with refrigeration? We can never have enough refreshment. By my understanding, we may see a lot more MAAM-SIM/MAAM supporters than usual next year ....Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
