May 3, 200422 yr After you changed cards did you delete your FS9.cfg file? You need to do that so that FS9 re-builds it, recognizing your new video card.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

May 3, 200422 yr I have the same card see my problem here..........http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...88095&mode=fullMy settings are no good it think so maybe someone would like to advise me what to change in ATI and FS2004 config.Jim
May 4, 200422 yr To be absolutely categorically sure you remove every ounce of nVidia driver, it's recommended to format when changing something like Graphics Card manufacturer. Do this; Put the Omega 2536b drivers on, and you'll be cooking.
May 5, 200422 yr Oh no! Not the reformat-to-change-a-graphic-card advice again!:-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchAllcott
May 6, 200422 yr Commercial Member Paraphrased from Rage3d.com and my own experience:1. Uninstall any Nvidia or ATI related entries in the Control Panel/Add Remove Programs list.Do not reboot.2. Get the ATI SmartGART remover from http://www2.ati.com/drivers/smartgart-uninstall.exe and run it.Do not reboot.3. Dowload the ATI Catalyst removal utility here - http://www2.ati.com/drivers/cat-uninstaller.exe and run it.Reboot when asked.4. Go to http://driverheaven.net/cleaner and get the latest Driver Cleaner. Boot up in safe mode (hit F8 repeatedly right after the BIOS load) and run it, choosing to clean both Nvidia and ATI related files. Also run Cab Cleaner from one of the menus.Reboot in normal mode, cancel the new hardware found for the vid card, and install the latest Catalyst's.This will eliminate any problems stemming from old remnant Nvidia drivers and you should be up and running well. Set 4X antialiasing and 8X anisotropic filtering in the ATI 3D/Direct3D settings for best performance to quality ratio in FS (my opinion only, experiment with it) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 6, 200422 yr Yes, you must do EVERTHING suggested above.I went from the Ti4400 to the 9800 PRO and was initially very disapointed. If you uninstall and re-install as suggested, I am sure you will be amazed at the quality of the ATI card.I am getting a steady 30 to 45 fps (3GHz), only dipping to the low 20's in large airport/weather areas.Ray Keattch
