What cpu and video card is giving you stutter free

Featured Replies

I would like to get post from you who are running a stutter free FS with information on your hardware, mainly cpu type and video card.I am in the process of selecting hardware and need you suggestions.Thank you for your help.

I would think it depends largely on which free or payware addons one uses, regardless of hardware. I'm sure fs9 would be stutter free if I ran it as shipped.Given most of us are constantly demanding more from the sim and our rigs - the lack of responses speaks volumes :)regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

It might be best to give a budget on what you intend to spend, what type of flying you do, add-ons, etc...Also what is the rest of your rig, ram, etc.?Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Say no budget, Cost is no factor. OK, lets just make it 4k for argument sake.As for add-ons, the following:PMDG 737 series (lots of liveries)PMDG 1900C/DEaglesoft Citation XUltimate Traffic + Edit Voice Pack100% traffic settingNow, the same question asked. What config will give stutter free performance?

Very good input. I thought I had made this clear to others!

There will ALWAYS be stutters. The question is more like - what level do you consider to be acceptable?

I agree on the stutters, that is until MS fixes the coding the program is written in.Terry

I agree with the others who say that there is no such thing as a 100% stutter free system. But they can be minimized. Even with this not-exactly-new system the only place I see any stuttering at all is a small stutter while taxiing in the densest of airport scenery (including parked AI).DougP4 3.0C SL6WK @ 3.510 (1.600 vCore - 234)Asus P4C800-E Deluxe (BIOS 1019)2 x 512MB Corsair TWINX CXM3700 (3-4-4-8)5 x 300GB WD HDD'sHercules 9800 Pro (128MB @ 410/360)Enermax 431W PSU
