September 19, 200520 yr Lets say that I wanted to fly a biz jet (Eaglesoft Beechjet 400a) with my CH Flight Flight Yoke USB, (with the 3 levers). I also have FSUIPC (registered). I'd like to be able to control each throttle independantly of the other and and have thrust reverse on the same axis. Basically, I want a lever for each engine throttle, but when I pull it all the way back, the reversers engage. Is that possible? I've messed with trying to get it to work and couldn't. Does anyone have any detailed steps on how to do it?ThanksDondo
September 20, 200520 yr Hi Dondo,Here is how I configured the Yoke Axes in Fs9.cfg to enable two throttles and the spoiler.[JOYSTICK_MAIN {DAF0B9B0-0AFA-11D7-8001-444553540000}]LOCKED=1AXIS_EVENT_00=AXIS_AILERONS_SETAXIS_SCALE_00=64AXIS_NULL_00=7AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_ELEVATOR_SETAXIS_SCALE_01=64AXIS_NULL_01=7AXIS_EVENT_02=AXIS_SPOILER_SETAXIS_SCALE_02=-64AXIS_NULL_02=1AXIS_EVENT_04=AXIS_THROTTLE2_SETAXIS_SCALE_04=127AXIS_NULL_04=1AXIS_EVENT_05=AXIS_THROTTLE1_SETAXIS_SCALE_05=127AXIS_NULL_05=1As far as thrust reversers on the throttle axes, I tried it but didn't like it. The problem was that I found it difficult to find idle. If you want to try it, I think that I had to set the throttles to emulate a "centered" axis like the ailerons and elevator axes. R-
September 20, 200520 yr It's in the FSUIPC users guide. Under joysticks throttle calibration/mapping when you assign the levers as multiple throttles and choose which engines to control with each, you will set click boxes for full reverse, idle, and full forward to set as I recall. You will have to figure out a way to mark your yoke or make a detent for the levers at your desired idle position. The latest 3.50 version lets you do assignments and calibration be specific to the aircraft you are calibrating under by checking the appropiate box - a great change - so you can have full lever travel for non-reverse thrust aircraft without recalibration as you change aircraft types.
September 20, 200520 yr I liked the way the Fly! series did thrust reverse. With the throttles Idle, you would hit a button (I think it was Shift-R) to put it in reverser mode. Now it was in reverse mode and the more throttle you put back in, the more reverese thrust you got.Anyway to do that in FS?----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have.
