September 30, 200520 yr Simple: Let Windows handle it. But you can also try various options and see what works best on your rig. Only takes a couple of hours to try all the combinations then you can report back and tell us! It's onlyt a quesiton of trial and error!BTW, please include the rest of your specs, as I would advise you to put the paging file on a separate hard drive, but I don't know how your hard drive(s) are set up. September 30, 200520 yr Sigh, indeed - didn't we just do this one :-)? Windows always uses virtual memory. Windows does not always need a page file. Virtual memory and the page file are not the same thing. The virtual memory space required is assigned to the physical memory space (RAM) if no page file is declared (yes, you CAN turn off the page file). To quote your prior reference to Alex Nichol: ""Can the Virtual Memory be turned off on a really large machine?Strictly speaking Virtual Memory is always in operation and cannot be Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. September 30, 200520 yr And that self-same article also states:"NOTE: If you are debugging crashes and wish the error reporting to make a kernel or full dump, then you will need an initial size set on C: of either 200 MB (for a kernel dump) or the size of RAM (for a full memory dump). If you are not doing so, it is best to make the setting to no more than a
