I mean from different manufacturer has different performance card i guess. So i would like to get the best.Thanx for your help.
November 29, 200520 yr They're all essentially the same. Basic difference is the packaging they come in, the extras provided and perhaps the colour of the PCB.Sapphire is probably one of the better brands, as to is Powercolor. I have a Powercolor X800 Pro and it's never had any issues.I've also had a Sapphire and found them to be great too. Grab the Powercolour and use the 20 Quid saving over the Sapphire to buy a new addon :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 29, 200520 yr john, do you have AGP? Hows this card opposed to the X850PRO AGP? Any thoughts? Im about to get the X850Pro, and from what i understand, they are basicly the same, and its 50$ cheaper too. ;)Thanks bro! Chase Barnett
November 30, 200520 yr Yes, mine is AGP. Can't say how it compares to the X850 Pro.My X800 is about to replaced though. Very good card, you can't go wrong with one. :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 30, 200520 yr I am getting the powercolor x850XT pci-express very very soon. Great brand. I have had their 9600pro for 2 years and never had a problem. Reasonable price too. Brent Lewis
November 30, 200520 yr Chase, I've just got a Leadtek 7800GTX. Got other bits coming too :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 30, 200520 yr Thanx for all the reply guys! I am realy thinking to get the cheaper one and i may buy from that saving the Frankfurt scenery.Thanx again
November 30, 200520 yr ive been happy with my 9600xt, but it can only handle so much before the frames drop. Im still on AGP, and wont upgrade again for a year atleast. I wont ever build another pc right before the new years. If i would of waited about 3 weeks or so, i wouldnt be worried about an upgrade. Seems like i could of built this one after new years for about 1000$, give or take a few. OR, spent what i did on this one, and be on something along the lines of a X8** series, and about a 3500+ A64 939. Oh well, im happy with this one. I think ill add a 2nd hdd, my vid card, and be good for a while. :) Chase Barnett
November 30, 200520 yr John, is it just me, or is this too good to be true?http://microcenter.com/compare_products_e....853dba0feee1ec3Was checking on one more store in the Houston area, and found the X850Pro and X850XT at the same price. Would the XT be a better performer? :-jumpy Man im looking forward to getting me this card. But which one? :-hah I idle at 25-28c and full load is around 30-32c. So really, i think i could take some heat with out any side effects. :) Chase Barnett
November 30, 200520 yr Chase,Get the X850XT if you're going to get one! :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 30, 200520 yr Do you think it would be a big difference? Does it require a tie-in to my PSU? Im not a good electrician.. ;) Chase Barnett
November 30, 200520 yr you'll notice the difference. I did when I went from a 9800Pro to a X800.Yes, it requires a molex connection to it. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 30, 200520 yr Uh oh... How complicated? I had this one put together at the puter store. How does it connect? Can i just run a 120V cord from it and plug it in to the Powerstrip? :) Chase Barnett
November 30, 200520 yr As easy as can be. Just take a spare molex and plug it in. Just like you would with a hard drive. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
