best sound card?

Well, I took the plunge and bought a Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music. It was on sale at CompUSA. So far, I've spent the entire evening setting up bloated Creative software. I finally have things working. I thought I had installed all the previous versions of drivers and software. Turns out I missed one, and the whole new install got messed up. On the topic of the install, it takes forever on my PC. Of course I had to uninstall and reinstall because of the previous problem. I'm still playing around with settings, so this is just my early impression. Right now, the audio is definitely better. How much? I can't really tell. I threw in a 5.1 music DVD and the sound was quite good. I'm going to try some games and see how improved things are.
