New ATI drivers ver 6.3 is out

Featured Replies

Just a heads up.

Nice... 10 gaming issues resolved for various titles and 16 CCC issues resolved. Someday they'll get that CCC squared away... till then I'll stay with the dhZer0point 6.2's and ATI Tray Tools.Greg

It will, indeed, me nice to have the CCC issues resolved. I see that the 6.2's are the last dhZer0point release with the old CC. I'm not sure I'm ready to try the CCC again but we'll see what happens in the next couple of releases.Doug

Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. Klaatu barada nickto.

Just last night I had a chance to work with CCC for the first time (my neighbors bought a new laptop that wouldn't connect thru it's wireless receiver... seems the saleman who sold them the rig "forgot" to tell them that they actually need some sort of router to send that baby a wireless signal!!!) and I was underwhelmed. The computer had 52 processes running at start-up (their kid won't be using that thing to play anything more than soloitair), and 3 instances of the CLI.exe using a total of 7Mb RAM and almost 60Mb of VM. And CCC offered nothing close to the functionality of some of the more popular ATI tweakers. But the CCC GUI looked cool.Oh BTW, Guru3D has in their download section the old Control panel. I've already archived a copy.Greg

I'm still hesitant to install the CCC as well. I've had nothing but problems with it, plus it eats resources like crazy. The last version which had CCC made my PC take an eternity to boot. Literally 2+ minutes were added to boot-time. I wish they still offered a non-CCC version. I mean, I just don't need to quickly switch between resolutions and settings.
