August 4, 200619 yr Okay. My new system is running now. Just done few test flights with the PMDG747, Ultimate Traffic (100% traffic), Ultimate Terrain, GE Pro, FE, Active sky (with substantial Cumulus), FS Global (100% mesh), UK2000 Gatwick Pro, all settings maxed (anti-aliasing on card set to 2X), resolution 3840x1024 and I get an average of about 16 FPS (goes down to 10 and up to 22) on 26L approach. August 5, 200619 yr Author I am thinking at that resolution you are severley limited by your GPU. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
August 5, 200619 yr Yes, that could be but it was a comprimise while waiting for a DX 10 card. Still, it is far better than my old rig.The above load is about the most onerous I could find (maybe EGLL next time). AI seems to do the damage. 100% with Ultmate Traffic is over the top. Everywhere else it runs >25. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
August 9, 200619 yr Author Looking at the way things stand I would like to see the following:Some form of standard scenario in Flight Simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X when available:Core 2 Duo E6400 vs AMD X2 4200+Core 2 Duo E6600 vs AMD X2 5000+I don't think comparing the X6800 Extreme and FX-62 are very 'real world' for 95% of us!Glenn Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
November 9, 200619 yr Just a note here that I was around a month late with my guess for the DX10 hardware.Meet the NVIDIA 8800GTX DX10 card: http://anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2870&p=1The benchmarks are on page 22 or something silly.
