November 8, 200619 yr This goes down in history as the first time aftermarket hack drivers that have ever helped me.In limited testing, I got about a 10% fps increase using these drivers.I was using 91.47 WHQL on an eVGA 7800GT.10% means before EGLL = 18 fps AFTER = 20 fpsSo thanks for the find Mr. A!RhettAMD 3700+ (@2.5 ghz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (91.47), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
November 8, 200619 yr Same here, never had a hacked driver do anything. I think the author intentions with these drivers were quality oriented rather than performance. I will try though. I am running 91.47 on my 7800gtx and very happy with them.ThanksBob
November 8, 200619 yr I keep noticing people with GeForce cards using the 91.47 drivers. Was this a particularly good version compared to later versions? I just recently put in a 7800GS 256MB card, which shipped with 91.31 drivers. I updated to the 93.71 drivers after installation, but I'm wondering if I should roll back to 91.47.Mark KuebelerWestWind Airlineswww.flywestwind.com
November 9, 200619 yr >I keep noticing people with GeForce cards using the 91.47>drivers. Was this a particularly good version compared to>later versions? Not especially. The reason is, that 91.47 have been around for a long time as nVidia drivers go. 91.47 was the latest WHQL release for about a month or more. That's a long time, (relatively spking) :)>I just recently put in a 7800GS 256MB card,>which shipped with 91.31 drivers. But for me no better than 77.77 did, for example...I need to update my sig, it still says 91.47RhettAMD 3700+ (@2.5 ghz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (91.47), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
