November 21, 200619 yr My only note of caution is to ensure that any soundcard you buy today has full support for OpenAl. This will be the de facto standard for Vista, and seeing as how Vista has higher quality sound built into its engine, but otherwise no sound enhancements via DX10, over DX9 it would be wise to ensure that what works today, will also be future compatible, as its going to be expensive enough to move to Vista, without the unexpected expense of a new sound card.Allcott
