November 30, 200619 yr Hi,which solution is faster for a 3 monitor setup?- one fast video card and Matrox THor- SLI mainboard with enough slots to accomodate 3 PCIe video cards (non SLI - setup, i.e. each video card renders one screen)Regards,Hans
November 30, 200619 yr IF it were me, I'd go one good video card and Matrox.Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
December 6, 200619 yr i would go wth the thh2go and a good card or you will run into resorsce issues with running one com with three monitors.i should know im running eight monitors and five are on one com, three of the five are thru th2go which took a ton of load off of my main server, that freed up to more coms to do more networking software into my FS9...................................Robert
December 6, 200619 yr I gather you are talking three monitors for three spanned 3D views. If so, then your first option will be the best. If not, then you can pretty well run any card and monitor combo as long as only one will drive the 3D output. Eg. here's a photo of my son's four monitor arrangement we set up last nigt, using an X800XT to run the primary display (3rd from left) and a secondary 2D display, with two PCI (not PCI-E) cards running the other two monitors with 2D displays. Works great, with neglible FPS loss on the primary display.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162611.jpgGaryPS. The four Dell 21" flat screen CRT's cost me $5 a piece.
