January 3, 200719 yr Seems prices fluctuate daily. The BFG nVidia 8800GTS was $419 after rebate yesterday, now $449. Is there any difference from one 8800 to the next, or should I just buy the cheapest one on the day that I order?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
January 3, 200719 yr All the cards are made to nVidia's specs and are all the same. There are 2 8800's available the GTX(High end) and the GTS(Low end). The only diference between the different brands is usually the "extras" that come packed in the box with the cards. BFG's earlier nVidia video cards come overclocked, but I don't think their 8800 cards are available overclocked, though.I have a BFG 6800GT OC and I am very pleased with it. The 8800 card I am planning to purchase for my next system, in the near future, will probably be a BFG as well.Pete S. January 3, 200719 yr I think most of them are based on the nvidia reference design, so there shouldn't be much between them.FWIW, I would get the EVGA model as it has the lifetime warranty.Depends on what it's worth to you though....Glenn Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
January 3, 200719 yr Author Thanks - I was assuming the difference might be quality of components, one may be quieter than the other, one may overclock/run cooler than another and am wondering what brands are best.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
