13.5 FPS with 2 Monitors on a New Dual Core Reasonable??

Recommended Posts

>John - you've got to think BIG ! Six projectors, a motion>platform AND an ejection handle that really works!!!>Never was in a Link Trainer but I do remember standing under>the wing of a brand new & shiny yellow AVRO ANSON twin and>thinking it was the most beautiful thing in the world. But>then I wasn't old enough to have discovered girls!>Cheers Alex Ried CYYJWhat i don't say in the signature is that I was around 6 or 7 yrs old and I started crying when they closed the door because I was scared. All I remember are blue lights, dials and that it moved. I have since seen them in museums. However, that and a flight in a real airplane age 6 got me interested in flying. I cried again. :-LOL This time to go up again. My dad relented and took me.Speaking of ejection seats. Do you know, the ones in the Cloud 9 F-4 Phantom actually work.

Hi Gary,I run dual view to enable me to utilize my widescreen and my standard screen (both LCD's) that both have different resolutions. I use my standard sceen to sometimes undock and move 2D panels onto, but most times (since the standard screen is close to my keyboard) to use e-mail and web apps.I see your comment sbout dual view consuming resources. How else could I run 2 monitors while preserving the resolutions of the different monitors?Thanks- Bruce.

With different resolution monitors, you are pretty well limited to dual display mode (which is not too shabby either).Gary

Here is the real problem, so you use two monitors right???? do you use non-Full Screen (in other words, does yours have that little blue bar running all aroung your sim so you can undock?) probably, well, i had this same problem, BE SIRE, you have the screen set to full..... now what i mean is when you have the blue border around your screen, there are really two modes, Maximize, and Restore Down..... YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE "RESTORE DOWN" SYMBOL SHOWING...... THIS MEANS YOU SHOULD SEE THE TWO LITTLE BOXES ON THE UPPER RIGHT INSTEAD OF THE ONE BIG BOX....NOTE: ALLWAYS HAVE YOUR SCREEN MAXIMIZED...... it seems weird, but if your screen isnt maximized, you will get an FPS impact of GREAT proportions. Before i fixed this issue, i got 100-140 FPS EASY with my Lvl-d...... but when this issue started, whatever i did,i set it to no buildings, and i spawned a Cessna, i was still getting 20FPS, when i maximized the screen, it shot up to 120-130, just like old times...... You know why????? because now the computer isn't rendering both your desktop AND your FS, that is definitely it if nothing else, see ya around....
