January 2, 200818 yr I need a little education on assigning FSX to various cores on a Quad core CPU.I downloaded SeeSaw Pro and I think I can figure out how to assign the running processes under that program. Can I assume that adding the "Affinity Mask" value in the CFG that FSX will always run just under a particular core or cores no matter what the running processes are doing?I have seen both 14 and 15 specified to run it with 3 cores. Which is it 14 or 15 and how does one come up with these numbers? Thanks for enlightening me.Jim
January 2, 200818 yr 15 is four cores (binary 1111) and 14 is three cores (binary 1110).If you use 14, you tell FSX to leave Core 0 (mostly) free for other tasks. Bert
