January 2, 200818 yr My XPS has been sitting in the corner ever since my Radeon 9800XT died. I don't have the money to purchase a new computer at this time so replacing the video card is my only option. I tried the GeForce 7300 and did not like how FS9 looked so I returned it to the store. No this same retailer has a NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS in stock. Would this be a good upgrade from the 9800XT? This is the only other AGP card that they have in stock. Thanks for any help you guys can give me on this subject.ThanksRegan
January 2, 200818 yr >Hello>Look on Ebay for an ATI X850XT Thanks, but I would like to know about the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS . I looked on Ebay at the ATL X850XT, but only found one item that came up under AGP. They all say PCIE.
January 2, 200818 yr Not really, the 7600GS has half the memory bandwidth of the 9800XT. A better choice for upgrade would be a 7950gt or 1950pro. But the AGP versions are becoming rare. A good site to view video card specs is:www.gpureview.com and click on "compare cards" on the left-hand menu. Pierre Pierre I9 14900K 5.5 64gb ram 6800 RTX5090 Asus Strix Gaming E
January 6, 200818 yr HelloMy x850XT AGP runs FS9 better than my ATI x1950 pro PCIThe x1950 pro does better in games that are heavily shader basedhttp://www.freewebs.com/reading1871/30.jpg
