January 23, 200818 yr Well, from my recent upgrade, I'd say no. I ordered a SB X-Fi Extreme Audio PCI-E for what I thought would be better sound than the onboard Realtek HD Audio. As a test, I removed the SB and can hear absolutely no difference in the quality of sound through my pair of Acoustic Research Powered Partners.First $25.00 takes the card!Chris

January 29, 200818 yr Two soundcards can be fun too. You can have ATC/Vent chatter on your onboard card and game enviroment sounds on the Sound Blaster.Arbiter.
January 30, 200818 yr Hi Ron,I thought of asking the same question, so thanks. If you get any stutters in the video seeming to be associated with ATC messages, then you need to do something. I'm using onboard sound and had some problems. While I could have moved a sound card over from the old computer, I didn't. Instead, I just changed the settings for onboard sound to 16 bit (cd quality). Art
